:tu: im sure you'll get more from it than i have so far, you know how images and video works. all the layering and bits are new to me, as is probably obvious from the videos to someone more skilled

Heh, i dunno about that, but thx. I think you have a natural talent for movie making honestly. As for me, nobody seems to even watch or listen (prob on more than a few ignore lists heh), but thats to be expected. Still I enjoy the art and video thing. :tu:

*Not to mention i tend to post stuff where nobody is actually gonna see it. I save the music cafe for serious efforts, of which there are few.

Alright!, seems you can write your own shaders in GLSL for the Imaginado VS thing.
That means you can do almost anything with it. :tu:

*stuff like this should be directly portable to VS...

So, er, what do you mean? Or maybe a better question is - where do I go to

a) learn OpenGL Shading Language
b) import shaders into VS?

The VS help pages actually recommend 'The Book of Shaders' and provide a little bit of info on conversion.

You would have thought I'd have learned by now to RTFM. :dog:

Thanks :tu:

VS allows you to write your own materials, or make your own modified versions of existing ones; the materials you put in a layer are written in a 'programming' language, one based on the language for creating shaders and textures in a specific standard (OpenGL) for 3D programming.
(As far as Ive been able to tell, though, the implementation wont let you bring in or reference external files like images or videos as data, which is a bit of a shame.)

tbh "shader" was a bit more than i was familiar with, really don't think this side is for me :hihi:

this is like reaktor, there are those of us who love the weird noise makers, then there are those weird creatures that can build them

Yeah, I was binge-searching resources after I posted that link the other day, and got the app. Sooo much potential!!! :hyper: 8)

Some stuff which may prove of interest:

https://editor.isf.video/

https://thebookofshaders.com/

https://www.shadertoy.com/

https://glslsandbox.com/

[edit/addendum:]... I had written a little bit of a reply early-early AM, and gone to bed leaving the reply page open, and returned without looking at any responses in the interim. :hihi: :dog:

I'm not a musician, but I've designed sounds that others use to make music. http://soundcloud.com/obsidiananvil

tbh, for "other stuff" im quite happy to drop it in to resolve and add video and text and such, as and when i have an idea that requires it.

i only really grabbed vs, for that one thing that looks like an old oil projectors lamp, to hit the wall with the projector while i video synths...

then i started messing.
