The Roland Jupiter 4 Emulation sounds Awesome ! I think it is the best emulation of their cloud collection synths. They are surely getting better at it.
I wonder what is next ?

Roland sold it about 8 years ago.Examigan wrote: Mon Aug 08, 2022 12:30 pm Isn't Cakewalk owned by Bandlab now?
It was a Roland company for a while and then it was Gibson after that.

And on that note, please PLEASE **PLEASE** do an ACB of the JX-8P. That would literally complete my System-8 and I would absolutely buy a Play4Life annual, paid in full, without hesitation - and I'd wager a lot of System-8 owners would do the same!Brian.McClelland wrote: Fri Aug 05, 2022 11:32 pm At present, we are still rolling out ACB instruments (JUPITER-4 most recently) and releasing new, next-gen hardware like the JUNO-X, which is packed with ZenCore sounds. We are planning on bringing you many fun, creative tools for a long time to come. Thanks!![]()

Does the System-8 DSP have enough processor grunt to support all six JX-8P ACB voices?

Given that it can do 8 voices of Jupiter-8 and 8 voices of its own, very good, sound engine the answer should be a yes.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:01 pm Does the System-8 DSP have enough processor grunt to support all six JX-8P ACB voices?

Fair enough, I just recall the ACB boutiques were more limited on voices than that.EnochLight wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 10:22 pmYes.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:01 pm Does the System-8 DSP have enough processor grunt to support all six JX-8P ACB voices?

That was an intentional product design choice to keep the Boutiques cheap. System-8 still packs all the punch needed.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Aug 16, 2022 6:13 amFair enough, I just recall the ACB boutiques were more limited on voices than that.EnochLight wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 10:22 pmYes.WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Aug 15, 2022 5:01 pm Does the System-8 DSP have enough processor grunt to support all six JX-8P ACB voices?

Didn't they just release jx8p?
And yet you guys want it again but different format? You're playing into their hands, it's your fault they can release 1 synth 3 times cause you lot ask for it. It's embarrassing.
Name one other company that has released 4 versions of the same synth. But you let them. You already have jx 8p,it was just released a few months ago on cloud. Yet here you are like some suckers asking to pay for yet another version. You're part of the problem while Roland laughs all the way to the bank.
It's sad.

They should better take their hands on JD-990.

They didn't release the JX8P... They released a "model" for Zen Core that's "sort of" a JX8P. As they did with the JD-800. And you're right, the JD-800 isn't a real modeled synth either, rather an "encapsulated" Zen Core model too. If there's something to blame users about is the fact they swallow that.astralprojection wrote: Tue Aug 16, 2022 12:08 pm Didn't they just release jx8p?

Nothing beats ACB as far as modelling is concerned on Roland legendary stuff. I know ZenCore is enough for most users, but I want that JX-8P on my System-8.
