LU v VU meter

Hi, am I right in thinking that if I have LU Meter then I have no need for VU Meter, its just a different way of reading levels ?
Does it make any difference depending on what metering a particular DAW uses internaly, thanks.

Hi, you are right it's simply another way of measuring loudness, it depends completely on what you want to measure and how you are used to work, both plugins measure loudness, LU Meter uses Loudness units: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LKFS while VU Meter measures Volume Units: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VU_meter
