I would only be interested in emulations that don’t exist yet, or are way overpriced… Korg is well covered by Korg and Fullbucket - would be most boring. Roland is well covered by Roland (though unusable due to its cloud focus) and Tal and many others.
I would love to see some rarities like a Trautonium or a Ondes Martenot (exists, but overpriced and sample based). A K5000 or K5 would be nice… Also gear I lusted for and never could afford…

No point in doing that many more analog, we have them to death, but not so much of the early digital, non-Rompler ones.
I don't think we'll ever get a Virus Ti2 vst if Access doesn't sell it.
If they could get Korg to license the MS-20 some of the others may see a similar opportunity. Not Roland though as they probably will do their own.

But maybe we are at a roads end of emulations and from here if will be NI Play style synths?

Novation Supernova, Yamaha AN1x...I'd kill to see some more love for the old-school virtual analog synths.

If it's to be a former bargain bin, now overpriced collectible, DCO, CEM3394 or hybrid digital wave/analog filter synth... I wouldn't look at the ones that were trademarked by big corporations like Korg or Roland who have their own virtual analog products. What I could see would be a Kawai K-3V, Oberheim Matrix-6V, maybe one of the European DCO synths.

Or just a lot of updates to their older code.
Something along this line, yes. Eventually major top seller synths would get emulated (or re-emulated), and also some uncanny territory covered.

I predict a milestone which puts the rest of their oldest legacy coded synths into state of the art. Modular, 2600V, and maybe Mini-V.

Also predict some steps towards a drum solution, maybe a Spark 3.

What I think also looks logical, is to build more on the Korg partnership, and include one from their polyphonic instruments. Safe investment would be one of the Polisix, Poly-800, or Monopoly, instead of Trident or PS.
In this light, my earlier candidate, the JX-10 looks less likely, but still consider it a valid one.

+1 for European DCO!

I think more Korg stuff is MOST likely - and while I would much rather use Roland stuff done Arturia style than Roland style, that's not going to happen while Roland is still pushing new software versions of their old products to market to drive their hardware controller market.

oh well guess we just use that one that is free with the dsp56300 not too bad imho

yamaha had a lot of good physical modeling synths a long time ago and inculded some of that tech in the first motif as an expandable board.

The nord and Virus ideas are also good project ideas.

If I were them I would offer to partner with the developer of tranzistow to give that synth a better UI just as a PR thing to help someone else in the biz.

Refresh of the moogs and the arps would make me happy.

Arturia has established a pattern of releasing a new synth about a year into a new V Collection, and about 6 months before the next V-Collection version. We saw that with the OB-Xa between V Collection 7 and 8, and the SQ80 between V Collection 8 and 9.

So which one synth do you think Arturia will deliver as a standalone release before V Collection 10?

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I wish they would go more into old romplers, like Kawais or Yamahas. A K1 or K4 would be amazing. As would a SY77. But it's a bit difficult to see where they would be going now. They are already covering an impressive amount of old cool gear.

Roland Alpha Juno?
Korg Poly-800?
Roland SH101?
Korg Mono/Poly?

My wish would be a deep dive into Ensoniq... a DP/4, EPS, ASR-X, and for curiosity more than anything the FIZMO.

I think they should separate their emulations and their augmented thingies

Normally I would update for $49, I felt a tad cheated though as I already got the SQ-80 for $49 and the only really new synth was the MS-20 and I'm just not interested in their augmented stuff

As someone that observes Laoist pragmatics, I can see a possible path toward eliminating their emulations of the past in favor of their new culminations. ("Success begins the cycle of demise and failure.")

While somewhat impressive, I haven't yet been impressed enough to buy their Augmented offerings, but I am more watchful of their development along with the Pigments evolution.

I like their emulations and as they flourish find myself asking if I really need the distractions of visiting the past that often. Still, I play along with these threads of "what's next".

I agree they might be more attractive to me if they separated these in their own format-like "Lab".

I heard from a friend of my car dealer that Absynth will be added.
Hooray!

Thinking I'd like to see an "Augmented Reeds" next. Complete with pumped, bellowed, fixed, single and double models. Something between the sampled and what Linplug Sax-lab was doing before its EOL.
