Thanks for the advice....

It doesn't run standalone no, but you don't need a DAW. You can get something free to run it in like komplete kontrol https://www.native-instruments.com/en/p ... e-kontrol/
I was looking at a MSI Crosshair 15 with a Gforce RTX 3060 Intel Core i7 16gb ram and 1tb ssd...
Only reason is my current laptop is a MSI and its been solid up until this last 6months...but it is old....

Are you going to do a lot of gaming as well? if not there is no reason to pay for a 3060.

So i have Zero experiance with Software but i'd like to know what i need to get to use it...Obviously purchase the Software but can i run it on a New Laptop?
I'd only be using Vengence....no interest in recording....Just Live Noodling at home....
Would a new Laptop with an i7 and 16gb of ram be suffiecient?
Also do a need a Daw to run it in?
I've a Roland Jupiter X on order and i think i could use that as an Audio Interface....
Apologies for the long post but i really do no nothing about this stuff...
Any Advice really appreciated and thanks in advance....

I recommend an Apple Mini Mac with the 16GB M1 processor, I can run 32 instances from Cubase on it and it doesn't crash, or an Intel i9 with about 64GB of RAM, on that you can run about 50 instances if you wanted, no problem. VPS run phenomenally under, Ableton, Cubase, Bitwig, Serato or Mixcraft, among others. It is the best synthesizer in the world!

Thanks for the advice guys....It really has to be a Laptop type for me as space is a restriction...The Wife Defo wont want a Desk in the Back room and to be honest there isn't the space....Two tier Keyboard stand and Monitor stands and very Large table about fills the space....
I'll be Honest been a Hardware guy i can't justify the the high prices of Super top of the line Pc's/Mac's...especially when the shelf life is so poor....
I'm happy to spend £1000/1300 on a laptop as thats what i spent the last time on my current MSI....
So i'll pick up a new i7 with 16gb of ram and try the demo...if it works great....if not i'll stay in Hardware land....
But thanks for all the advice People...
Really Appreciated.....

yeah so you don't even need a graphics card. That money can be put toward more processing power instead.

And only £60 for one expansion, compared to £86.95 to buying the synth itself!

Who pays £60 for these expansions? WTF? That alone puts me off buying Avenger.

Some here really think and argue they (the expansions are worth it)...
"happy" for them.

If the official expansions were £10 I'd be buying several every month, and it would really encourage me to buy Avenger at the sale price, and I presume there is almost no support required for expansion purchases, but the current price is ridiculous when there are so many entire synths available for less than £60 with a shedload of decent presets supplied with the synth.

Post

Avenger expansions are usually good but pricing is yeah... interesting
