Hippocampus Isthmus is a bit difficult to describe, sampledelic psychedelic ambient? The Hippocampus is the part of the brain that deals with learning and memory. Damage to the Hippocampus leads to short term memory loss and disorientation. Memories surface and disappear, incongruous experiences overlay each other. An Isthmus is a narrow bridge of land between two larger masses.

I'm sure that all means something but I haven't quite consciously worked out what.

a very good mix , and a strong composition ...
i quite enjoyed the listen ...

i did find the ' bird tweets ' superfluous , and i think the
piece would present much stronger w/o them ...

good work ...

yeah this is different for sure, in a good way. I think this would be best to listen to in the dark. Really sparks imagination. Very cool song. I didn't find the bird sounds annoying honestly. If I had one fault of the song is it seems like it would benefit from being a bit longer.

Do I hear horses whinnying? I think so. Then an ethnic instrument sounds,
a Far Eastern one? Loud chirping of birds ... a scenery is set up, an image
emerges before my eyes. That could be for a radio play - or for the
soundtrack to a film epic.

A great little snippet of sound that produces great visuals.

thank you. The ethnic sounding string instrument is actually Cypher 2 (FM synth) played via a Roli Seaboard. The horse is from a Fairlight disk as are some of the other spot effects - plus my own samples of a cassete machine, various scrape sounds (+ the famous Fairlight scrape)

I'm often drawn to pieces with interesting titles - usually pays off, as indeed it did here.
