Thanks!

I read somewhere that it comes with a handful of presets and the presets/cards meant for the full version cannot be loaded onto the LE version.

And you can load only one instance of M1 Le at the same time, while M1 Full has no limitation.

The LE version is beyond "Cutdown".

AFAIK, the LE version is just like the original unexpanded M1, while the full version has dozens of expansion cards with additional samples and presets plus all sounds from Korg T1/T3 and its expansions.

So, it's like an M1 with a broken expansion slot. Nice :D

Hello, very old thread but, for whom interested (so do I):

The full version of the M1 software synthesizer contains more than 2700 preset sounds and 900 PCM samples. This version of the M1 Le contains 200 preset sounds and 144 PCM samples derived from original M1. (shame)

- The full version of the M1 software synthesizer provides 440 user-editable preset locations (including user drum kits). This version of the M1 Le offers 100 user-editable preset locations; 50 combinations and 50 programs.

- The VDF Resonance parameter cannot be accessed from the M1 Le.

- The Compressor effect type cannot be accessed from the M1 Le.

- The Maximum polyphony is limited to 32 notes.

- The Maximum number of simultaneous outputs is restricted to four.- The InsertFX of the Combination/Multi Mode cannot be accessed from the M1 Le.

- Original M1 series data cannot be imported to the M1 Le. (bad..)

- The Copy and Paste functions are not implemented. ( worst thing? )

It is something that has left me a bit too sour to jump on this (and I have owned 3 Tritons amongst other pieces over the years) and that is, although I have purchased both Wavestation and M1 at regular prices, apparently I get no discount while people who get the included freebie M1Le get $100 off???? Not a lot of loyalty for long term paying customers. :x
Subsequent 37, King Korg, Triton, TX81Z, Minilogue XD, Waldorf Pulse 2, Behringer Neutron, Logic, Live, Dune 3, Bio-Tek, Avenger, Zebra Legacy, Pendulate, Invader 2.

That's the way it has been for a while. Not sure how or why KORG came up with this plan, but I took advantage of it to pick up KC 3.

I had postponed buying any of KORG's virtual instruments as I hated the small unscalable UIs of the earlier versions.
