Just came across this thread (which is a bit old now), but wanted to say big thank you to Oli. His work on iPlug2 is absolutely outstanding! I have used it to build VST3 versions of my (originally iPlug1) plugins. I opened example Windows Visual Studio project and it built completely straight away, no messing. I opened example macOS XCode project and again it built completely successfully to VST2, VST3 and AU versions. That is astonishingly good work!

I want to apologize to Oliver Larkin for this post. It appears Oli may have been stressed at the time I posted this and so was I. I have recently visited his forum and his outlook seems to have changed - very helpful and polite - and that's fantastic. My outlook has also changed as a result and I now regret this thread (that I can't delete). Please give iPlug2 a try.
