Very nice. Thanks.

Cool! Thank you. Look forward to revisiting this classic.

I also have an older version that I got for free with some Novation hardware I bought, but I installed the latest one since they fixed the bug with master volume not being saved.zvenx wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 7:34 pm Ahh yes.. probably from the registration process, though the version on their website (dated 2020) is the one I have and I had bought it many eons ago.
The original on mac and pc had 44 files, yours has 37 but I haven't found any issue.
The one thing I can't remember since it has been eons since I used it, was I thought it had a drop down menu for the presets...this skin I can only navigate the presets with the +/- switches..
Don't remember if that was always the case.
Thanks again.

I just quickly reverted to the original skin to check for the drop menu, but it's not there either.
These are the files that I removed:
- activation_bg.png
- activation_buttons.png
- knob_small_green.png
- vu.png
- legacy_mode_label.png
- blank.png
The original also has 3 button and 4 knob types, while I have only 2 button and 1 knob types, but that shouldn't cause any problem.

I'm spoiled, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed someone will reskin Synth1 like this.

Thanks for this skin Branis. Great work!
If the drop down menu is in someone's imagination then it's in mine as well. I'd swear there was a way to open up the patch list in the past.
EDIT: I've got an ancient WinXP system that used to be my DAW a hundred years ago that still boots up. I checked and it has V-Station 1.7 on it and there is no way to access the patches from the plugin gui with it either.
What I'm remembering is the patch handing of the DAWs I was using at the time. FL Studio and Orion etc. They will open up the banks to view. Getting old sucks.....

It wouldn't matter because the synth doesn't have a browser system.
But I see in your signature that you use Orion so its preset browsing system will work.

In Reaper you can also browse patches by drop-down menu.Teksonik wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 11:49 pm But I see in your signature that you use Orion so its preset browsing system will work.![]()

I made a small update to the skin. I only changed the look of the program buttons:
Now there's only 35 files since I removed the two old program buttons and used the regular dark button instead.
The download link is updated in the original post

Synth1 is resizable...so it's not a real problem for me.Boy Wonder wrote: Mon Oct 10, 2022 8:26 pm I'm spoiled, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed someone will reskin Synth1 like this.
Those I would like to see with bigger new skins are Dune 1/CM and refx vanguard
I know they both are skinable

Synth1 GUI is pretty much entirely vector/programmatically generated so there's nothing to skin, really. There's only very few bitmaps in the binary, used for LFO waveforms and the like.
