I did not like Scaler 2. It's quite complicated and in the end I didn't get a result that I would use anywhere in a song. Captain Chords is significantly easier and if you play with the known chord progressions and also change the inversions a bit you quickly have a basis for a song.
Some little things are missing at the moment like a preview for the chords when you click on them or some different tabs for variations like pre-chorus, chorus, drop etc (but this is all planned).

I just wrote to support, complaining about 'some [other] little things'. Cap'n Chords is based on the policy that you can have any time sig you want, as long as it is 4/4. Now, I happen like those far out, exotic sigs, such as 3/4 and swing 6/8.

It can't be that overwhelmingly difficult to adapt the grid in Cap'n Chords to allow some nice swinging 6/8 ballads or a 3/4 jazz waltz?

I suppose the missing factor is vocal user demand… :hyper:
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Anyone have issues with the latest version of the Captain Epic Package (6.2.1018) ? I updated yesterday (using Studio One 6 on Windows 10 22H2) and while the install seemed to go fine – once complete some modules would launch – while others did not.

So I did a complete uninstall and started over by reinstalling another clean copy of the Captain Epic Installer from a local drive.

That too went OK – and while each of the 5 Captain plugins installed (64 bit) and appear to function correctly in Studio One – there are no built-in audio sounds at all.

Even when I went to the location where the sound should be – C:\Program Data\Mixed IN Key\Captain Epic Plugin\Odesi Sound Library – the directory is completely empty.

What gives? I uninstalled again and contacted support - which have been no help whatsover. Now what?

Appreciate any other observations from the field.

Cheers

Also -- The last time I looked at the Captain plugs, they were semi-famous for calling home frequently to authenticate, rather than using some less-obtrusive anti-piracy measure. Which killed the deal for me. And their forum, where there was a fair amount of griping about this, has been taken down. They just now went on BF sale at $49. Do they still call home?

My note next to Captain Plugins reads "AVOID Must be connected to internet"
It's unfortunate.
Do not know if this was changed.

Did you try running the installer as Administrator?

Thanks, KK!

Absent different news, I'm going to give this BF sale a pass and waste money on something else. :P

They may not like VST3.
