Anyway, go read up on the actual inspiration for 4'33", which had already been mentioned by the time I posted, since you clearly didnt get my context or point.
Which synthesizer is most suitable for ambient music?

Korg Wavestation? Many pad, atmo and key sounds with soft retro vibe...
Or the newer Korg Wavestate VST version from the hardware synth?

The korg wavestate creates really great sounding ambient type sounds.
Sounds by Marco Mayer show its potential.

If everything is simplified, then the Omnisphere is enough for most ambient needs. It's just made for it
Otherwise, you can play with any synthesizer + reverb + fx
Matter of desire + taste + time

My fav ambient touch is when a track carry you to another world of feelings, experience so on - for example how you gonna feel if you land on another planet, something like that - weird, out of our world, beautiful, space ambient...

You can turn nearly any sound into an ambient drone by sending it through some FX. For edgier sounds rather than peaceful new-age pads, take a listen to the free Glitchmachines Hysteresis. https://glitchmachines.com/products/hysteresis/
With some settings the original sound or rhythmic elements can be completely lost in the process (100% wet), or can still be heard if desired by using the dry/wet output mix control.
Feedback-Based Delay
Stutter Effect
Lowpass Filter
Modulation FX
60 Factory Presets
Scalable User Interface
Win/Mac VST3/AU 64bit
Follow up with a big reverb tail from something like Valhalla Supermassive.

was just a quick example of making sounds that could be used in ambient music of today, using beats rather than the usual sound sources.El°HYM wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:18 pmIf this is hiphop then me mos def liking it.vurt wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 8:11 pm quick experiment, hip hop beat for ambient?

just time and pitch changes, and a hell of a lot of delay
slice out bits then mix it low, or just add to it, whatever!!!
