Wondering is there a AU or maybe M4L plugin with preset drum patterns like old 70s rhythm boxes had - CR-78, Korg Mini Pops, etc… with ability to assign midi notes and send patterns to midi out?
First of all I mean oldie rhythm types like rock / rumba / disco etc… but more rhythms incl. “modern” are welcome, maybe even dozens or hundreds of them, perfectly with INTRO / BREAK / A+B variations, maybe some other useful tools.
Main idea is to switch between them instantly during jam (no drag n drop to midi track ) and assign to external analog drum modules.

Jamxtix has a public beta for the AU/Mac version, but I don't really know much about that versison, I'm using VST on Windows. You could try the free version to see if it works for your system. It sounds like it could be what you want if you need a plugin to generate midi drum patterns to control hardware or other software; I use it that way to drive BFD and Superior Drummer. If you are working inside Logic Pro, there is a drum machine with a pattern sequencer built in called Ultrabeat. The UI sucks but you can make and store your own patterns and there are hundreds of kits to choose from.
If you are part of Roland Cloud, the 808 and some other drum machines with pattern sequencing are in there and programmable.
Also the super cheap Yamaha stuff has those old beats with a fill in button. The one I have laying around is the PSS F 30. Hundreds of beats, does fills and a lot of other stuff, It isn't incredible but you can get one for 50 bucks.

Full Bucket has a great Mini Pops emulation. Sadly it doesn't have midi out but it can export midi.
Additional to the rhythms of the original it has many new ones and you can edit them or create new ones with built in sequencer.

Thank you for suggestions! Still haven't found exactly what I want. Would be nice to get something with very simple interface like original CR / Mini Pops with "style" selection and then A/B, intro etc variations. Still looking.
yes, already downloaded, sounds nice. maybe it worth to export all 20 patterns from it to midi track in Ableton and send it to my midi devices.
trying to figure it out... thanks
unfortunately Ableton only here. but yeah, will check Roland cloud. funny thing, I have og 808 here with midi mod and want to control it with 808 plugin : )

I guess you don't have Kontakt. The perfect machine exists there:
