But multiple layers of the same synth, as I understand it, would then be multiple instances of the same synth and it would therefore no longer be a One Instance track.
You can of course change the presets during the song via automation to get more variation in your song.

During the song I change the preset several times using the program change function.
This is of course only a simple example and needs a lot of work to make the track sounds better.

So looking at posts here I realized that I could have used all the Khz plugins and I didn't. With all the snapheaps and multipasses and shit, i could have made a symphony from hell, but i ended up using like 10 generic plugins. My sound palette could have been so much better, and im kicking myself in the ass for it. Anyway here is the piece with a little story behind it.

An army million strong at their gates, yet they have no fear. The war drums quake fear into the hearts of the invaders. They grunt and chant as if they have been waiting for this moment, for a foe worthy enough to challenge them. The million-army conquered and vanquished all in their way, but they have never encountered an enemy as blood thirsty as the feral horde. They are beasts with no restraint, no mercy, bloodthirsty and bred for war. A chieftain appears at the front line of the beasts, and with a powerful scream he leads the charge into glorious battle. Unleash the Horde and let blood spill from the bodies of the weak and fearful!!

Hi friends. Here's my submission that I produced using "One" by Kilohearts. I really enjoyed working with this synth. I am sure that most of us really liked it and I am looking forward to the voting session. I used 26 instances of One and most FX are the freebies by Kilohearts. Additional free plugins are LaLa by Analog Obession, Wider by Polyverse and RF-DSP by Ronan Fed which is a wonderful and free multi-FX module that I found online just a couple of days ago. Check it out. DAW is Cubase Pro 12. Cheers!

Mine doesn't at least in this thread. In another thread I got a MB warning, but all it is an image in someone's tag line. Or, are you trying to download something specific?

So here's my little jaunt into some noise - ran out of time and didn't know what I was doing but I finally dusted down my KHS bundle and learned a lot about what it can do.
