Here's this month's effort: ... al_sharing

Using Tracktion Waveform Pro 12 as usual
8 instances of kHs One
Pretty much everything in the kHs Essentials collection
Also using kHs Convolver, Faturator and Snap Heap
The inevitable Valhalla Supermassive
Tracktion Reverber8 and TEqualizer
dpMeter, Blue Cat Gain and KClip Zero for track levels
Snap Heap with a mastering preset for, well, mastering
Also a few Scaler 2 instances with output rendered to midi
Boz Digital Panipulator for mono checks
All kHs one patches were from init but I may have used a few Snap Heap presets...

a bit cluttered, perhaps. well, succumbing to the temptation of abundance is at least thematically appropriate. didn't realize how many effects i had stacked on there until it was time to type it out... ... n-paradise

10x khs one in bitwig 4.4.8
bitwig eq+, multiband fx-2, tool
khs compressor, delay, distortion, filter, formant filter, ladder filter, limiter, phaser, pitch shifter, resonator, reverb, reverser, ring mod, tape stop, snap heap

My submission ... llenge-169

8 instances of kHs ONE vst in Bitwig

Bitwig plugins:
- drum machine
- timeshift

3rd party plugins:
- kHs Snap Heap (free modules + SliceEQ)
- OTT (one instance on master)

My initial great idea was to make a track using ONLY instances of the synth and Snap Heap for everything including mastering. Then I allowed myself to use bitwig drum machine and later - time shift (what a handy utility, why haven't I used it before?). Then at some point I put a 20% OTT on master just to have an idea how it would sound with some multiband compression, and of course forgot to turn it off. Found it out when track was almost finished, and decided not to bother trying to recreate it in Snap Heap. If I had Multipass, I would try, but having to build my own frequency splitters with filters didn't seem like fun.

So I tried to make a track without OTT. And I failed. I accept my destiny.

My submission this month - Analog Sunrise, i think it turned out pretty cool.

Technical bits - 59 instances of kHs ONE. i used all the kHs freebie fx for almost all mixing duties, and in fact only used the kHs reverb exclusively (which was a bit challenging). transient shaper was def a standout. I used logic pro's channel eq and compressor for mix-down, as well as Lim No 6 on the output. No OTT! haha. oh and looks like an instance of NOVA on one of the percussions, and an instance of logic's tape delay on the drum bus for some light tape saturation.

i wanted to do something that featured the analog sounds of the synth, and also some rather obvious use of the more recognizable kHs fx, which you will definitely hear. used snap heap to make one of the bass sounds (thx, Milkster!)

this was heavily inspired from when i took my kids to see the sunrise for the first time. beautiful, yet an overwhelmingly powerful experience. transformative experience.

hope its a fun listen with some analog goodness, cheers ... al_sharing

Hey folks, :D long time no hear! :phones:

Made in Logic with stock plugins with 18 instances, in ~3 hrs. It's been a busy month in the studio...
8) Macintosh & Logic are clearly the only choice when it comes to making music, offering the most premium experience, other than the 3 negligible shortcomings of incompatibility with most everything, poor performance, and routing workflow. :tu:

18x kHs ONE
8x channel eq, 5x compressor,
5x chroma verb, 2x space designer (7 reverbs = a nice, muddy mix)
exciter, direction mixer, adaptive limiter

Alright i'm a few minutes late, but i worked really hard to actually finish a track. I hope it brings some form of enjoyment to yall ... 69-khs-one

Felt like jumping out of the rut by joining OSC on its last two days! It definitely got my ass moving, though I wasn't able to dig into the sound design with as much nuance as I wanted (especially since the khs fx were legal!) Perhaps it's for the best. Today I bring some practice writing synthy rock and then noodling with it at dnb tempo. Sadly, I didn't give myself enough time to really polish it or solo over it, but I'm still happy. If the mix sucks that's my excuse :D

All sounds generated from 20 instances of ONE. Despite the name, it's... a polysynth. The saws sound pretty good and I would reach for this for chords and distorted leads. Though, creating all the sounds with it seems to make it feel a bit fuzzy and murky, especially when leaning heavily on the onboard FX and unison. A byproduct of using turbo hyper saws for every instrument!

Speaking of FX, most instances use both the chorus and delay. kHs' own Essentials, Slice EQ, Snap Heap and Multipass plugins are used in mixing, mostly some broad EQ and compression to make things gel more instead of using them as creative effects. Except on the drums, where I have kHs Disperser beefing up the impacts. It's tremendous.
