IMPORTANT: The download is a direct download, you will need the license file to “unlock” the software.
The license file you will get when purchasing the product. The license file need to be placed into the same folder as your vst / dll.
------------------------------------------------------
IMPORTANT: This VST requires ‘Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013’
which you can download here for free https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=40784
-------------------------------------------------------
INSTALLING: All Infected Sounds products follows the same set of easy steps. Please remember to install the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages from the link below if you have not already, as it is required for these plugins to function.
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/downloa ... x?id=40784
Upon downloading the plugin, you will receive VST2 and VST3 versions of the plugin in both 32 and 64 bit (Windows only), as well as configuration files. If the plugin is a free download, or if you have purchased the plugin, you will also have received a license file. The configuration files (.ini), and the license file (.lic) all need to be placed in the same folder as the plugin file (either .dll or .vst3) in order for the plugin to save size/color settings, and for the plugin to be registered and taken out of demo mode.
The plugin files need to be somewhere your daw can read them, and by default, most daws will read them in the following locations:
VST3: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
VST2 (.dll): C:\Program Files\Steinberg or C:\Program Files\VSTPlugIns
Once all of the files you have received are in one place in one of the file locations listed above, scan your installed plugins in your DAW. You are now done! Enjoy your new synthesizer plugin!

Changelog Sphinx 5.0.0
Up to dev 20:
The wav reader is now stereo.
In order to keep the float array normalisation and de-clicking function there are now 2 wav readers, one for left and one for right. But I’ve optimised this by making each reader single channel and using a common interpolation index creator.
The poly chain is converted to stereo so the poly filter and amp envelope have been updated.
The FX chain has had extensive updating to provide for a stereo signal path. All the FX modules have been converted to stereo.
Reverb:
The pre-delay is now using a much better interpolating delay.
CPU reduced by replacing mono4 pack and unpack prims with fast ones.
The High and Low cut filter is replaced with MV’s single pole filters and the operating ranges made more suitable.
The Dry to Wet gain is now matched. Gain setting is needed because the reverb engine increases gain due to the comb filters etc.
Echo-Delay:
Stock delay prim replaced with the best interpolated one.
Added a long de-zip so the time can be automated to create weird pitch change effects!
Ensemble:
This is a sophisticated multi-chorus module.
Reduced CPU by replacing mono4 pack and unpack prims with fast ones.
Change the minimum rate to 0.1Hz so there will always be some ensemble at minimum settings.
Chorus:
Replaced the whole module with a stereo version of the “classic” chorus sound.
I added a feedback knob (Fbk) so it can also be used for flanging and arranged the FX panel to fit it in.
Phaser:
Replaced the whole module to give the classic phaser sound in stereo.
PHAT:
Converted to stereo and I changed the floats to give what I thought is a better sound.
Decimator:
Just changed to stereo.
Drive XL:
Just changed to stereo
4 band eq:
Changed to stereo
Fixed a connection error which stopped Mid 2 working correctly
When testing I found the poly filter envelope’s Amount knob was far too sensitive so I removed the x5 gain.
Changes devs 20-22
Vu meters:
Rebuilt the Vu meters. They now register average peak values on an exponential basis to indicate lower signal levels as well as high.
Clipping indication is now on the top Red LEDs only.
If even a short peak over 0dBFS occurs the red LEDs will stay lit for 1 second to indicate there has been a clipping event, even if not visible or audible.
Calibration is good for peaks now.
Scope:
The calibration is correct for complex signals now, which covers most sounds.
Changes dev 23 to 41
Mouse wheel and slider controls for bank and wav selection.
Set a minimum size for the slider handle. It was too small for folders with lots of wavs (BASS and LEADS).
The Scroll bar counter now gets pre-loaded so the up/down mouse wheel starts in the correct place.
The preset bank size was 150 but the max allowed is 128, so that’s now set to 128 to avoid crashing some DAWs. It now complies with VST specification.
Change the option to 4 columns of 32 presets in the selector.
Changed the scroll counter input so the preset change doesn’t reset the counter.
Changed preset connection order to sequence the triggers and prevent up/down bounce when scrolling.
Mouse control removed from the Wav name display because it did nothing (but it did change the cursor to suggest you could change something).
When selecting the wav using the arrows, the file path string is now updated so the selected wav now gets saved in the preset.
After Preset Change trigger added to string get to update the wave list display correctly.
Re-draw added to the wav name (for convenience when working in the schematic).
Other stuff:
Feedback knob added to Phaser and FX panel re-arranged for it.
Filter envelope Amount knob is now positive only. The range of amount now increases for low cutoff settings to give a wider sweep.
Pitch envelope changed to Decay envelope module with linear output for pitch modulation and to reduce CPU. Time set to max 1 second and range to max 3 octaves. “Pitch” label changed to “Time” (preset name not changed).
Poly filter preset behaviour fixed: The preset name “keyfilter” was used twice.
Checked for de-norm and memory leaks but none found.
The tuning system was messed up! Changed the Octave knob to +/- 3 octaves and removed the selector box since it duplicated the function. The SEMI range is now +/- 12 semitones. Default for knobs set to zero so no detuning for default.
Amp envelope had a wiring error so didn’t work correctly.
Amp envelope ranges set to more suitable values.
Velocity control:
Amp, Filter and Mod velocity targets all updated with cross-fade function for velocity control. This means when a velocity knob is fully up, the velocity will have maximum influence, but when down, velocity will have no influence. This is the regular way and it also means you can’t make a setting that kills the sound or other settings.
Clipper moved to final output which is the normal way to limit to 0dBFS.
Outputs labelled Left and Right for DAWs.
Width module modified so it doesn’t get louder on max width setting.
Aftertouch was not working at all! Fixed.
Modwheel control fixed.
New preset bank “128 programs” made so all the presets make a sound. New presets will have to be made though due to all the changes.
Tested in reaper
Changes in dev 42:
Stereo width level compensation reverted
Max chorus delay reduced from 50 to 25mS
Pitch env changed back to 5 octaves max
Demo module connected and new licence file made to test it.
Changes in dev 43 and 44:
Copied the Wav scroll slider to be for the expansions.
Fixed the reset to Home by removing the Home triggers.
Tested with 3 pages of folders and it seems fine now.
Changelog Sphinx 5.0.1
