Good Synths with MPE?

I have now gone through 15 pages of search results for "MPE" over at max-for-live.com and can't for the live of me find such a device. Do you remember the devices's name?

I don't remember the name. I also never used it. I just remember someone describing it in a thread about MPE.

I know you can do something like that in Max/MSP. The VST object exposes all the parameters to Max, and placing it into a poly~ object would allow to pass on the changed parameters to the other instances. Of course Max can load also M4L devices. But you would make two different patches, one dealing with VSTs and the other with M4L devices, though if you have a M4L device, you could as well modify it directly to talk MPE natively…
