Fun little song. Lyrics and direction by redmaggott. We're working on an extended version.

Amp sim is NI Guitar Rig and the old Waves GTR3. Drums are from Superior Drummer.

Lyrics:

Code: Select all

Pig with a gun
He don't want to die
Pig with a gun
Won't be filling in a pie
Pig with with a gun
Sees the place where he'd be taken
Pig with a gun
When they turn him into bacon

If you ever see a pig with a gun
A pig with a gun
You'd better run

Pig with a gun
Can now finally examine
Pig with a gun
The room that makes him gammon
Pig with a gun
Sees the farmer and his wife
Pig with a gun
Shoots to end the old mans life

If you ever see a pig with a gun
A pig with a gun
you'd better run

Pig with a gun
Now surrounded by the cops
Pig with a gun
Takes a bullet and he drops
Pig with a gun
You can find him in the shops
Coz The Pig with a gun
Is now sausage, ham and chops

Thank you so much for creating this cracking tune. (or should it be crackling?)
When I asked for a collaboration I was hopeful, but thought it probably unlikely.
But you went for it, thank goodness, and I think it's excellent.

Found your tune both enjoyable and educational, as I had never heard of gammon before.
A cautionary tale that quickly turns to spam! I hope you guys are proud of yourselves.

Thanks for listening. Glad you enjoyed. Pretty happy with how it turned out. :) Oh, I also learned about gammon from this song.

Honestly? Both of you? You were not familiar with gammon?
To me, that's like saying you've never heard of brisket or sirloin.
It may just be the name that we use in the UK.
Or do you not have this cut where you live?

I can't recall seeing gammon advertised in my area.

Thanks! About a month ago I was listening to a bunch of Dead Kennedys, mostly Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables. That's good music company.

Not to take away from the song, and for clearly educational consumption. Gammon it appears is ham in the USA, and is sold pre cooked. This has led me to believe that gammon is the basis for the 1950's & 60's slang term "gams", as in "look at the gams (legs) on that dame!"

Guns on the other hand seem to have universal appeal to the point where even pigs now have them? Go figure

I'm not that keen on gammon, to be honest. It can be a bit too salty for my taste.
This cut of meat did a fine job for me here. Just the job with examine.
We have a few more verses but there is no snout or trotters.

A little porky push, a bacon bump.
Feedback is welcome and appreciated.
Fifty seconds of fun.
Thanks.

Genetic_Junk,
Thank you for reviewing my song. Now your song: I think we have a new genre here: bacon punk! I found the song amusing and funny. Rock on!
