It's my favorite synth sound-wise, but since I've bought a Nektar keyboard I'm committed to synths that I can control with it. 16 macros is just not enough for that.

am not getting that (but then, i use music-making tools to make music, and how something sounds is of paramount importance to me)

what computer, OS, DAW?

MX just opens here... & i go to work. perhaps troubleshoot the issue (here, or with NI); more useful than just getting annoyed...

I see the NI sale is still on for a few more days so I thought I would try the Massive X demo but how the heck do you install the factory content from the .iso file? Nothing I've read on the net has helped and why for the love of god use an .iso file...for presets? :?

Download 7zip. It’s free and it will open end extract the content.

Iirc its a separate download in Native Access.
You don't need it to run massive though.

Ok thanks, I figured it out now. I didn't fully extract the files from with 7zip first so kept getting an error message. The only time I mess with .iso files is when I'm dealing with Linux Distros. I've got over 800 plugins and I don't remember any of them dealing with .iso files but N.I. marches to their own drummer I guess......
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Not exactly sure what you’re saying but I’m reading it in a snobby British accent and it’s cracking me up lol

Maybe you tried to run the installer inside 7zip?
Mine worked after unzipping but sometimes they don’t

i use music making tools to cause a racket. Sound is of course important but since so many synths sound just fine my main concern is- can i control the synth in a way that my creativity shows through. Fighting with a really poor UI is no fun. I do make small exceptions.

Seems like i can wait a few more years until they finish it.

Exactly my problem. No other VST I have does that. Sounds awesome but that laggines bugs me lot.

Same here. Native instruments solved this with Massive 1 after 15 years, maybe for Massive X will take faster :D

MX opens fine here (but it had a lag on my previous intel imac). either way... so what? once it's open, you can make sounds, music. at any rate, that's my priority with a synth plugin: to make sounds, music.... :tu:

You're oversimplifying the subject.
If you're a composer and need to constantly open your synths to tweak them in order to get where you want your music to be, you need a fast and smooth workflow, to keep the vibe going.
I love Massive X, but since the last update the lag when opening it became bigger, and I started to favor other synths over it, more and more.
I hope they fix it.
