It’s very bizarre they keep hyping up ”new features” for a freaking plugin manager. Who cares, it’s something a user shouldn’t have to think twice about. And the developer on their website keeps talking about how buggy and difficult to improve the manager is… A big company should not be struggling like this.

U-he already own the 'light mode'. Open their plugins after purchase, paste your name and serial number, and say a rhetorical 'You're welcome' after their brief 'Thankyou message'. Native Access should be an option that must be heavily chosen. You have two bias already, first coming from something worse and two being new to NI.swilow11 wrote: Mon Jul 24, 2023 4:15 am This is literally my first post on KVR after nosily browsing for ages. Anyway, I'm just going to say- MX is a fantastic synth. Lush sound, numerous modulation options, great FX, modular, easy to understand. Could there be some improvements? Sure. But the problems I see folks worrying over generally don't relate to the synths ability to create brilliant, unique sounds and so I'm thinking NI are generally doing really well here.
The poll options aren't great, what about users who are happy? The options are leading to one outcome only and as such, isn't exactly useful.
I'm actually newish to NI, purchased Komplete 14 a few months back, and really love it. I've come from using Reason for years though, so maybe I'm just used to frustrating technical impediments to creativity, but I've really not noticed many when it comes to NI. Komplete and Cubase tick every box I could even think of.
Also, the logic of this post is ridiculous "I don't understand why people are requesting improvements but I am going to argue that NI are doing great cause I am fine with it". You are requesting the option "NI does nothing about MX", how that helps or improves anyone experience?

IMO besides GUI issues, lack of MPE support, my biggest complaint is how annoyingly shitty Native Access is. Over a terabyte of sample material and they still make it a PITA to separate libraries on different drives or relocate them.

Do you work for Native Instruments in some way? You've spent an inordinate amount of time and energy trying to reduce the seriousness or discredit complaints and criticisms of NI, and not just a couple times. Why are you doing this? As I mentioned when I started writing about NI a few days ago, Ive been a TWENTY YEAR FAN of theirs, and I've spent YEARS DEFENDING THEM as others lost their patience. Now, IVE LOST MY PATIENCE and I have some things to say. If you dont mind, argue about this with someone else. You are wasting my time.

do you work for an NI competitor? you're spending a lot of energy trying to tear them down. and how can 'what's in store for native access' not matter? seems that would be the more-important thing, not 'light mode'...

There is a solution now for making Massive X and Komplete Kontrol banksaMUSEd wrote: Wed Jul 19, 2023 12:20 pm I think it needs to be clearer about the problems with the browser. Fundamentally what is needed is for the user to be able to use the browser to author, tag, organise and manage user created content. At the moment all the work has been to make the browser good for finding NI authored content, but users can't even organise patches into banks, which makes it really hard for anyone wanting to sell or share patches to do so as they just get lost in the User list of hundreds or even thousands of patches. I am certain this has severely constrained the market for Massive X banks as third party developers want their banks to stand out and not get lost. User tagging is still very poor even after the latest update, as it can only be done one-by-one, and the tools to do it are hidden away - in practice it's still easier to do it in Komplete Kontrol despite the deficiencies of KK too.

But if I had as many as I have NI products it would be a bit of a pain to authenticate them all with this individual serial code method.
Personally I like the NI tool to install, update and authenticate. It's pretty seamless and shows when there are updates.
I think for any developer who wants people to own multiple products it's helpful to have such a tool for users.
Luckily I don't need to setup new computers very often...

It's great watching an angry person getting more angry because somebody else isn't angry enough.
This is sorta my own weary irritation with NI (not full-blown anger I hope). It's clearly doable, so why don't NI do it themselves? An even more ridiculous example is the simple two line registry hack that keeps Komplete Kontrol at a useable size so you can see more than two search results. That's been the case for literally years, but they've never thought to add a checkbox to the preferences to do it officially.
Grrr. A weary irritated grrrr.
Oh that's well worth knowing about, thanks.aMUSEd wrote: Sun Oct 01, 2023 10:48 pm There is a solution now for making Massive X and Komplete Kontrol banks
