That’s an issue Ableton has confirmed. If you are on windows and use vst3, the preset change for Avenger, rapid and modwave is really slow. Most other vst3 don’t have these issues. I am also waiting a long time until Ableton will fix it.
I have more than 1000 vst3 and 95 percent runs very smooth with no issues.
Also modwave opens up in 2 seconds, it’s only the preset change, where Korg and Ableton are aware

Ok.
I don't use Ableton so can't comment on that.
But for sure the only things that take long to load on my mac and pc are battery 4 to some extent, trying to load Kontakt 7 by the drop down Quick Load method, and to some understandable extent superior drummer 3, as my default Kit for it is large.

Like I think you mention Rapid in one post. Rapid is as its name suggest on my two systems and if you include my previous macintel, three systems.

I also have tons of vst3 and more or less all I have seen you mention in various threads.

No problems with omnisphere, falcon or sampletank.
It’s an issue that on preset change - all value changes from every midi parameter is displayed on push or apc40 controller. It’s only these 3 Korg plugins ->
opsix, modwave and wavestate and avenger and rapid.
All other wavetable synths like serum, dune3, hive2, massiveX and opal also run very smooth

Avenger and rapid I can use vst2 with no issues and modwave I will not buy until Ableton has fixed it.

Jeepers I'm lucky. I just timed standalone launches - K6 8s, K7 11s. 7 was quite a bit faster when I then launched in Cubase, but that's likely cos I'd already opened them standalone.

It did make me realise I hadn't added K7 as an exclusion to Windows Defender, will see if that helps any.

For me (beyond the quick load thing), K7 either standalone or vst3 is not noticeable slower on my system than K6.

Just timed it (one one thousand, two one thousand), on my mac maybe one second longer.

Hi,
Native Instruments really sucks with all these updates that penalize legal customers.
I got the same issue with some elysia plugins updates from plugin alliance (now part of NI) which presets are no more compatible with previous versions!
And no answer from them, as from NI!
So, as for Kontakt 6, I can't open old projects with recent updates!!!
For me, NI is over!
No advice about the consequences of updating products, NI only think about money.

Elysia plugin updates (and PA in general) are free.
How come you don't just upgrade to the latest versions of the plugins?

We have already dispelled the theory that you can't open older projects... something is either wrong with your specific system or....

I don't understand what you mean.
I'm just saying that some new elysia updates refuse to launch with old projects (parameters not compatible). I've sent examples to PA and still waiting for an answer. I think that they noticed the problem.
About K6 compatibility, I can't say my frustration enough.
That's NI policy which is not acceptable.
Fortunately, I had kept old libraries versions.

In another thread ("Kontakt 7 very very long to launch"), I had found one of the cause of the long time launching of K7 (xml files).
No solution yet, there are always new xml files when I do some other editors updates (softube for example) that slow K7 launching

It seems this is inaccurate info, tests have been made that show that K6 can load these libraries in old projects even after updating them...

You mean you have an old project with noire on k6 and this is no longer working? This changes again the perspective....

I just had this issue as I went to install Noire on my new SSD using Native Access (I lost a few things from system migration) and it was Kontakt 7 only - I still rely on Kontakt 6.

I then remembered I still have my Komplete 13 HDD and the Kontakt 6 Noire should be on it. So I uninstalled the newest Noire, went to Native Access with the HDD ready and... it doesn't acknowledge Noire as a Komplete HDD install anymore, so I couldn't do it! I'm really not sure what's going on there.

What I had to do was go into the contents of the HDD via explorer, enable hidden files/folders in Windows and locate the archive containing Noire to install manually. Now I can finally use it.

So in the end I'm just glad I still had my Komplete HDD, but this obsolescence via Native Access and NI themselves seems a little heavy handed.

Some NI Libraries now updated to require Kontakt 7.6?
