I just installed it.
First thing is, the initial release's genopatch doesn't support drag and drop from either the DAW's browser or Windows file explorer. Which was something I was worried about, as that is a bit of a workflow killer, since most users (well I for one) always use the DAW browser to preview sounds, which I would then like to drag into plugins (any plugins, but especially a synth like this one). So hopefully, that will be added before too long in an update.
2nd teething issue... The VST3 had errors, when scanning for the plugin in FL Studio (current release), meaning only the VST2 version currently works, until that issue is resolved.
Edit: I got VST3 working after an uninstall/reinstall. It seems there were some conflict between remnants of Synplant v1 on my system and the new Synplant v2 (which is intended to completely replace the former). All working okay now though.
But it looks and sounds great. So I'm gonna play around with it some more now...
Edit: On a positive note, it would appear Synplant 2 is backwards-compatible, since I believe, it uses the same plugin ID as its forbearer. Although, I've not been able to fully confirm that, since all my previous projects were saved using the VST3 version of Synplant v1 ... and the VST3 for Synplant 2 doesn't currently work in FL Studio.

Drag and drop works just fine from windows and DAW (Reaper) , windows 10, VST
Threw a range of samples at it and get an amazing approximation from the Synplant engine. Really nice start for sounddesign

This might be the most fun I've had with my clothes on for a long time.
I need a faster computer though, genopatching burns clock cycles !

The enhanced possibility to tweak the genes with more precision is a big improvement. So basically it is an 2 oscillator synth with noise and FM capabilities and bunch of filters followed by effects. Synplant 2 makes its parameters more accessible. I like the saturation in the FX chain.
