I think he should seriously license the tech to one of the big boys and make shit loads of money. I would lol.

Note that installing Synplant 2 will uninstall Synplant 1, so you'd better be sure you want to upgrade. At the moment I have an un-licensed version 2 and no copies of my licensed version 1 installed. There must be a way to fix this if I decide not to upgrade, but I'm not sure what it is.

EDIT: The Sonic Charge website has legacy downloads, so I doubt it will be a problem. :tu:

Surely there must be consensus by now...

Still, they'd need to port their findings to other synths.

Drag and drop of samples directly into the Genopatch works fine using the VST3 in Komplete Kontrol from its built in sample browser

I made a NKS template that allows each branch to be controlled by its own knob and access to the DNA editor

Is the sample length also limited to 2 seconds in the full version? I'm currently using the trial version.

haha, okeeey,.....its fun.

lotsa fun with samples ! i get quite unique sounds. Definitly different than any other synth i ever played

CPU usage:
looks good here. Really low. Stunningly low in fact.
Not sure how much deviation could happen, sound vs. sound ...?

i don´t like the sample edit window. very fiddly to handle.
and i must reload my samples ever again if i want to use a different section of same sample.
There´s some work to do, imho.

The sounds i get out are unique. really special.
i take if for very digital, more highfrequenzy content things, so far.
I see its strenghts there.

First thing is, the initial release's genopatch doesn't support drag and drop from either the DAW's browser or Windows file explorer. Which was something I was worried about, as that is a bit of a workflow killer

it's possible to drag and drop samples from the Windows 10 Reaper browser to genopatch
works great
So, the drag and drop and VST3 both don't work in FL Studio, but do work in some other DAWs?

Edit: I got VST3 working after uninstalling/reinstall. It seems there were some conflict between remnants of Synplant v1 on my system and the new Synplant v2 (which is intended to completely replace the former). All working okay now though. :D

Yes, it also appears to be limited to the same duration in the full version.

Insta-upgrade, running it through its paces now. Sounds great.
