Be surprised if that works.

It used to, from what I understand.
But as of the last Group Buy or two, IK seems to have serials that distinguish between "free" and "paid" transactions, and the freebies have generally been ineligible.
I think you can still hoard serials you've paid for and only register during a GB, but I'm not certain that's still the case. It may be the purchase has to be inside a given date window, as well.

Not as dodgy as this...wangeroge wrote: Thu Oct 05, 2023 10:56 pm I signed up for the Denise Audio freebies and got en email after a few days with download links from the domain bf9gj.r.a.d.sendibm1.com. How dodgy is that?

Though, on second, thought, it sounds good, let´s do it!

IKs installation is parasitic but I wonder what really isn't. They want you to impulse demo a plugin and need it right then this is their highest margin impulse buy. Think, a pizza at list when everyone in town pays 50% or less on pepperoni night. Navigating this is a skill and the prey is boomers so if you aren't that you might not be the prey. That aside whatever cuz I'm used to this shit it's not clever it just another barrier and I'll work around it.

In Amplitube there are presets that uses demo when I don't have it but for tracks none of demos shows in Cubase's plugin manager.

I used an unregistered freebie license for Black76 in the 2021 group buy and it got me in at the $79 level.Sciurus wrote: Fri Oct 06, 2023 7:38 pm How does that IKM group buy thing work, can I get in the next time by waiting until then to register my Tape Machine 80 serial number?
I wouldn't be surprised if they've closed that loophole though, since they've been giving a lot of licenses away this year.

Boomers (old people) have likely been making music in the digital world for years and probably have dozens of alternatives for any of the bloatware IK installs. Also old people are less likely to make impulse buys..that just goes with being old. IK aiming at boomers is absurd, old people see the value of companies that can be trusted not to make customers jump through hoops. Also ,old people are more likely to be making money from their music and dont have time to waste on stupid marketing strategies but will just move on.
Some younger folks may pause to pat themselves on the back for knowing how to delete vsts and call out generations; I guess we all need something

Also "old" people MADE these systems. Not 20 year olds.Kurdish Mayfield wrote: Sat Oct 07, 2023 9:46 am"Navigating this is a skill and the prey is boomers so if you aren't that you might not be the prey."Gavincoolguy wrote: Sat Oct 07, 2023 3:52 am IKs installation is parasitic but I wonder what really isn't. That's what the young generations always forgets when they found something cool that "seperates" them from the "outdated" generation. The fact that their cloths, gadgets, apps, networks, cars, etc. are more often than not created by older people.
