System 8 hardware and the plugins sound about 95% the same to me. Maybe because the hardware is going through an interface first. Maybe I'm hearing wrong, lol.

They sound the same if the volume are matched and the boost function is not enabled on the System 8 hw.

as we hurry to the exit

no more updates for the old GUI

Cpu wise my M2 cant run the legendaries even anymore, thanks Roland!!!
It is nice to wait 30 sec to load in a zenology pro instance, awesome coding guys, what was the slogan a few years ago again?
"Designing the future"or something like that, then we got this cloud BS, hihihi really funny.
JamminFool wrote: Fri Oct 13, 2023 4:31 pm I have been complaining about Zenology load time almost from Day 1. Although it has improved since then, it is still unacceptably slowwwwwww. Like others, I used to wait 30-40 seconds and even though it is better lately (now takes 20 seconds), it is still a bad joke.
Hey Septic and JamminFool! Sorry to hear this. Load time for our Legendary Instruments should not be 30 seconds. After making sure you've update your OS, DAW, Roland Cloud Manager, as well as the instruments you want to use and restarted your machine, if you are still having issues it might be worth reaching out to our Support team and see if we can pin point where this issue is coming from.

This goes for everyone as well! If you are experiencing unusual loading times, CPU spiking, or other issues after you've updated everything and restarted your machine, we would love to know what you are experiencing and ask that you reach out to us so we can try and find the source of the issues. Always appreciate it. :phones:

The load times are for Zenology. Here it takes 16 seconds on an m1 max mac studio. Subsequent loads of the same plugin are instantaneous.

Hey Mogular! I should say that not all machines are the same. ZENOLOGY is a plug-in with lots of information and therefore could take a few seconds to load. If loading times take longer than 30 seconds but more importantly if it's followed by laggy performance, It wouldn't hurt to reach out through our support portal. Subsequent loads in the same session should always be a little faster.

Either way I'll make a note of this and bring it up with everyone!

Thanks for replying, but I was not talking about the Legendary instruments. They work ok.

The complaint was about Zenology.

All other plugins (and I have hundreds) load in a reasonable amount of time on the same system. Only Zenology is slow. Noticeably.

I notice the new preset banks in Zenology V2 have reverb enabled by default, however none of the preset banks from V1 have it by default, it would be cool if those presets were updated to take advantage of the new reverb.

I hope you’re using a (pretty bad) language translation tool and not having a medical episode.

Are you safe?

New GUIs are really bad. I dislike that they took Arturias like aproach. Takes way too much space.

The extra preset and metering bollocks at the top could do with a toggle. Jon from Roland, please add to your suggestion box :)

I don't know what "new" GUIs are you referring to, but they didn't "took Arturias like approach". If you are talking about the Legendary instruments, they are as they always were - a faithful reproduction of the original hardware. They are far from new - most of them (the vast majority) are already several years old.

And now they can zoom in, which makes them good (before, they came out severely blurred).

im pretty sure he is referring to the new(er) 2.0 versions of some of the Legendary instruments, like Jupiter-8 and Juno-106.
