Well we kinda knew everything already, but I'm still surprised at how underwhelmed I am. The new channel tab - isn't that almost exactly the same as the inspector?

There's a few workflow enhancements, but quite a few of those really only make sense if you are using the built-in eq and fx. But some might be useful like the range editor and key editor tweaks. Want to see how the Windows management is now.

Biggest disappointment by far - no changes to the inefficient audio engine.

On the plus side, it's only £85 I guess.

I am quite disappointed, doesn't seem like a mayor upgrade to me - my 99€ are better spent elswhere. Might be good for beginners though with the new vocal chain and plugins

This will be a UVI Falcon, I would never buy it at the normal price but this is very tempting now.

Yes, it's basically a duplicated Inspector that runs a customized preset with specific mixing commands.

Well, sadly innovation doesn't seem to be on Steinberg's alley anymore. But we have the smaller third-party developers for that.

I'm curious about the "Window Management" in the Workflow improvement. They said: "Cubase now features Windows-compliant multi-window handling."
Does that mean no more main toolbar (ported from Mac) in Windows?

Also, can I install the trial version of 13 without affecting my v12 that's already installed?
Using: Cubase Pro 15, Reason 13, Tascam US-4x4HR, MODX6, DM12D, LaunchKey 49, Yamaha guitar(Pacifica 612v) and bass (BB234) and some virtual instruments and synths.

It seems this is a rewritten version of a bunch of things, less spectacular but with the necessary modifications for moving forward, well, it's fine.

Is there a trial version? I didn't find one and if I remember correctly the trial usually get's released about half a year after the release.

The only thing I like is the envelope presets in the sampler track, that seems cool and unique.

Other than that… I wish DAW developers stopped focusing on stupid useless plugins. Nobody needs another useless compressor. We all have third party stuff already, never gonna use it. Just focus on the audio engine and actual improvements on the DAW itself.

This is my kind of update. Workflow improvements with better tools, more routing options and a more unified interface finally with the midi plugins updated (should have been done by version 10.5 in my opinion but I'll take it) . Instant buy.

If you have a copy of Cubase AI hanging around, its license is automatically updated to the latest version, so you can take a look at some of the new features. That is what I've done so far.

I'd agree that this update seems more interesting than usual.

Yep. Same holds true for Cubase LE, I think. I use AI to take a peek into new versions of Cubase. ;)

Didn't get a mail for the upgrade yet though.
