Cubase 13 minimizes correctly in Windows! So nice.

But now I'd like to find a way to change the color of the file menu bar.. that bright white strip against an otherwise dark theme is jarring.

I looked into this a while back and got some programs suggested to me on reddit but I couldn't be bothered to figure them out.

If you don't eat yer meat, you can't have any pudding. HOW CAN YOU HAVE ANY PUDDING IF YOU DON'T EAT YER MEAT!?

Finally the make mono track stereo option ! Fed up with routing my guitars to a stereo bus to bring in stereo FX !!
Love Cubase though, since 2001 for me :D

Thanks, Kenny! I am trying to avoid 3rd party apps. But if it gets too annoying I'll dive into that.

I submitted a feature request on the official steiny forums for C13 to support this natively.

Can somebody answer this please:

Ableton Link has been kinda industry standard since rewire got flushed down in the toilet. Pro Tools has it. Logic has it. NI Machine has it. EVEN STEINBERG’S OWN CUBASIS APP HAS IT.

Is it even remotely possible that Steinberg would not add this to their flagship product? Please calm me down and tell me I am just missing it.

do all included content work without a dongle?

Ah yes, another extremely minimal update disguised as a major update from the company that motivated CLAP to come into existence because of their decades-long inability to properly support multithreaded multimedia or properly QA hardware platforms for their fully hardware-dependent software. Yes, let me think about spending more $$ on a company whose customer service is among the *worst* in the entire industry, and who handle legitimate customer frustration by trying to hide it.

No, the bliss I have been experiencing using Bitwig for the past 6 months has washed away decades of frustration with this brand, and this brand can kiss my entire $#%@$%#@%#@%.

Do yourself a favour and don't download the Cubase 13 demo songs by Austin Hall or Azodi. Damn horribly bad stuff there.

The Cubase 12 Pop Demo by Austin Hall is well crafted. Just my unsolicited two cents but those Version 13 demos aren't cutting it here.

this right here. did they drop the update as soon as the shop returned?

oh well, I purposely didn't upgrade to 12 to try to snag a grace deal, and it became not an option. I'm not upgrading for 200, so, onwards and upwards. S1 it is.

Hopefully they have a sale on upgrades at some point.
I checked and it's $199 for me as I have an older version.

Cool but where is Logic 11?

Usually 50% off in the summer iirc. Unless this update vastly improves MPE pitchbend viewing and editing I'll probably buy the upgrade on sale the summer after next (assuming they're definitely no longer doing .5 versions, and new paid updates are now once / 2 years---is that accurate?) and then wait until the grace period for free update to Cubase 14 to register.

I bet Cubase 14 will include substantial AI tools. (Or not... it's not like they haven't disappointed before.)

Well I'm happy - it closes without being a dick about it and the *project I was working on no longer silently crashes on exit so no grey screen when opening Cubase again. Yay.

(*It used ImpOSCar 2 that I downloaded for nowt from Computer Music Magazine, but I think it was that causing the crash).

Grum.
