What's with the tech-press' "biggest update in years" bullshit? Did Arturia pay them to spread that shit? Lamest update in years, I'll go for that. Nothing has beat the V6 update for me and, before that, V4 was pretty impressive as well.

I own V Collection 8 and Micro Freak- they want $299
Given I will never want the augment stuff, 8 may be were I stick and just buy the off thing in sales (like I did with Microfreak)

Let's model one of the shittiest sounding pianos ever that is already a piano compromise because we have to get it on stage. Sorry, I'll go away now and let the cape-men enjoy their toys.dumbledog wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 4:15 pm $99 for me, presumably because I’ve dropped Acid before. I can’t play piano well so the 70 is kinda wasted on me, but I have been eyeing the Minifreak, and like the Mini. Hm.

What else do you own to get the $99 upgrade? I own V9 + Acid V and my offer is $149.

Well you don't get any lube, you have to bring that yourself.jasco wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 4:22 pm What else do you own to get the $99 upgrade? I own V9 + Acid V and my offer is $149.

€299 from v8, a very easy pass. Re the CP70:
Also IIRC v9 had about 14 extra soundsets or something. This has only 3 - presumably not including those bundled with 9.
All round X denotes NO, really.
Couldn't agree more. God only knows why they chose this one to do, it's horrible.ghettosynth wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 4:17 pm Let's model one of the shittiest sounding pianos ever that is already a piano compromise because we have to get it on stage.

Yeah I own V9 and mine is $149, the update is not worth any where near that to me so it's a pass for me.jasco wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 4:22 pm What else do you own to get the $99 upgrade? I own V9 + Acid V and my offer is $149.

For me it's €99 just for an updated Mini V & Wurli V

$99 For me too but I also own Minifreak, Augmented Brass and Piano.
So it looks like, for the first time, they are giving no/very little credit for ownership of the separate V Collection instruments that were released early out of bundle. $99 for an upgrade to get an upgrade for Mini V (The CP-70 holds little interest to me) is far from a compelling proposition, particularly in a market that gets you DIva for half that price.

I have a detailed pricing here:
V Collection 9 or Sound Explorer Collection 2 + 3 or 4 products of VCX = 99€
VC 9 (or SEC 2) + 1 or 2 products of VCX = 149€
Upgrade from VC 9 or SEC2 = 199€
Upgrade from VC 6, 7, 8 or SEC1 = 299€
Crossgrade from Pigments, or FX Collection, or 3+ software = 399€

I was really hoping for Modular V4. Sigh.
I mean, there are so many Mini clones that are already excellent. A new sound engine for Modular would have been a real standout in V 10.

Well, I'm reading into this that if I don't upgrade at the next sale price, I'm likely out of the loop for upgrades going forward. My V4 does not show an update to the newest V-collection. Not sure that I care TBH. I've passed on 7,8,9 because I just wasn't feeling their modeling choices. With the exception of the CS80 update, only 7 had anything marginally interesting for me.

Same!
It’s the first time I won’t be upgrading.
To be honest though, I barely use any Arturia apart from Pigments.

I just updated my v8 Collection a few minutes ago. Is that "Keyboard Settings" at the bottom of Analog Lab Pro new this time around? You can transpose the octave and other settings easily from there. I don't remember that in the regular Analog Lab.
