Looking ahead, my vision for AI in music involves inputting an entire song and having the system create different versions based on it. Throughout the history of music, borrowing from other genres has been a common practice, like hip hop using samples. AI can empower individuals to create impressive music, even without expert knowledge.

User error

You rightfully expect that pencil modes set the values, but when "Paint tool (click to insert+move)" is selected, clicking actually adds a new bar which you can move horizontally and vertically. So what you see (and set) is the newly added bar. When there are multiple bars at the same position, the one with the bigger value is left.

The short answer is: use the 'Arrow' tool for setting values or the other 'Paint' tools except for "Paint tool (click to insert+move)".

I see. I'll try to add a new prompt which sends your existing phrases to the server and gets variations of it, although this is rather a task for machine learning.

Playing with the AI beta now. I love it. Most useful feature for me is having the structure laid out by ChatGPT...wow. Few small bugs but Im still playing with it.

I will say that in all fairness....at this point...RC 5 is under priced, at least compared to the BS on the market today. Synfire is almost $800 USD and doesnt even have the Variation features, let alone ChatGPT implementation.

ok, now i find the feature when use move tool and hold CTRL and click somewhere it create a new event so the pencil tool is not need

Is it also possible that you can interpret bend instructions chat gpd give ?. bends makes all in general sound much more exciting. see the video, he use it with chat gpt and chat gpt output this instructions at 6:30

if you have install a 4.x beta in a seperate folder you can download the V5 beta with the beta knob and it is install in V5 folders

I believe you. I did not know about this but I always learn something new.

You need a v5 license key to use the v5.1 beta version. Previous v5 beta versions could be used with a v4 license key. Upgrade info can be found on this page: https://www.musicdevelopments.com/v5upgrade.html

Hi magicmusic,

yes, this is possible. I managed to get bending instructions with the notes. But how do you want to include the bends in your song? Like inserting an articulation that your guitar synth will interpret, or adding pitch bend messages? Another idea is to have 'bend up' and 'bend down' presets stored in the CC browser that could be added to bent notes.

think you need a way to clear the edits for the AI or some sort of reset. Once you reach the limit, there isn't a way to fix the issue..

So with the AI, after we choose Genre/Mode/Complexity will we get just one structure always?

If it is possible to get many structures for a given Genre/Mode/Complexity, how do we do that?
