Can't use third party either.
Yes. Worked without a hitch.

Hello,

Anyone using Avenger 2 in Fl Studio 21?

I´m having a problem when i load a project containing Avenger 2 VST´s.

On some project a crash occurs when i load the project and Fl Studio shuts down.
If i try to reopen the project 5-10 times it sometimes work.

I only installed the upgrade + latest V-manager, do i need to reload all the expansions or something with the folders?

Best regards,
Rickhard

And Merry X-mas!

Hi,

I don't know if this was already mentioned (I assume yes, but anyways...)

In Avenger 2, there's still the bug in the VST3 Version, where changing presets takes way too long in Ableton Live (11). A user has reported this for Avenger 1 a long time ago in the old thread - but it is still not fixed.

Even though the preset change is now faster with Avenger 2 in the VST3 version than in Avenger 1, it still takes an unpleasantly long time compared to the VST2 version, where everything runs smoothly.

(Compared to version 1, a new preset loads fast, but it takes a while until it is playable. In version 1 the loading itself took that long. So, as I said, it's much better with Avenger 2, but it's still annoying. Especially because the VST2 version runs great)

I hope from update to update that this will be fixed, but unfortunately in vain.

Edit:
it only occurs in Ableton Live - the VST3 Version runs fine in Studio One 6.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I feel like in the first 2 versions of 2.0 this was fixed, but yeah, as of now I'm back to having to use the VST2.

The more I use the more I love it :D
Avenger 2 is currently my "go-to" plugin and with prompt responses to user issues and actually fixing them, Avenger v2 is my personal choice for synth of 2023/24.
LOVE it :D

Tim Cant's the man! I wish he'd bring back his podcast with James Russell, it's brilliant.

I noticed on VI Control that another fan is Charlie Clouser, ex Nine Inch Nails and composer of the Saw franchise among others.
Shame about the confusing copy protection, weird website, duplicate downloads of optional content banks, and other minor weirdness... but DANG this thing sounds amazing. Ready to go to the mix bus right out of the box. For dark doom beats and evil synths it's at the top of the pile for sure.

Can confirm on my M1 Max Macbook Pro, the crackles and snaps have been addressed. It no longer does this and CPU use is pretty minimal. Great job!

Yeah, it's been my favorite synth for years. Phase Plant is awesome; I recently picked up Current and it's also a joy to use. But honestly, aside from the novelty factor I pretty much always just want to use Avenger because it lets me do whatever I want with no fuss or compromises and no need for workarounds.

Back in the version 1.x days there were a fair number of people saying they don't like the UI and I don't understand at all. In terms of functionality and pragmatism I think it might be one of if not the best UI I've used. Learning Avenger took me no time at all because things are laid out very ergonomically, there are tons of little sliders and rightclick knobs-within-knobs that feel like they're exactly where they should be and (WHY DOESN'T EVERYONE DO THIS) there's a little display window that tells you what you're pointing at in the event you're not sure about something. It really is a masterwork.

The one thing about the UI I don't like is the amount of real estate the preset browser takes up. I really don't like how it's always there and you can't get rid of it to make space for something else, but it's a fairly petty complaint in the big picture.

Happy New Year y'all

Thanks these are great

btw I am new to Avenger so just discovered this but some other new people may not yet know this, you can create previews for patches you create yourself or import by just right clicking on the patch or the collection and selecting 'update preview' (or 'update all previews' if a collection) - what a great feature!
