Oh, thank you very much ;) Apparently my whistling is useful for something after all.
A new version... there's still a lot missing, but the track has already gotten a bit longer.

It continues to slowly get better. I am guessing the female vocals are AI. The phrasing is a little unnatural although it sounds pretty good.

The intro with your vocoder vocals is very abrupt. I think an intro before would be nice.

Thanks Frederick, that's right, the intro (but also the outro etc.) was still missing.
New version with intro ;) I think this way the transition is a bit smoother and not so abrupt?

Yes, you keep improving it with each iteration. :tu:

I think your original vocoded part is weaker than the female vocals. I would consider removing that vocoded part as it is a bit harsh and odd sounding compared to the rest of the track which is quite smooth.

With an overall length of 2:18, it seems too short. Perhaps it could use another, different sounding section to provide variety and length?

FYI, the track is pretty loud. Loudnesspenalty.com says it would be turned down by 5.5 dBs on most streaming services.

Thanks for the good ideas!
Yes, I think I've found a solution for the vocoder part. I mixed the vocoder part differently, you can hear the vocals better now and it fits better with the rest.

Oops, I was as loud as David Guetta :D My reference is actually Above & Beyond, they are usually at -11 dB LUFS. I've adjusted that.

I still have a bridge, verse 3 and an outro on my to-do list. So the current ending is not the right ending yet. The track should be over 3 minutes long. But it's coming along, a bit more with each iteration^^

So it sounds like you've removed your voice from the song and are using the female voice for all parts, sometimes through the vocoder. I agree this sounds better and more consistent to me.

The loudness is better too. :tu:

Yeah, exactly ;) Sometimes you have to remove old things if you want it to get better^^ But my whistling remains :P

Everyone likes videos, somehow they work better than audio... well, I also made a video with Vizzy and an earlier version of the song:

The current version is this one here:

Real nice production and balancing of the instruments. The whistling works for sure; however, it's maybe a wee too much to do it back to back in verses? So something to break it up? I love the main loop or sequence being used for sounds in the hi hat space. It wouldn't be the same without it. Nice track.

Thank you very much Andy!
Yes, I think there might be some elements missing in the repeated verses with the whistling to make it a bit more interesting.
Thanks again and have a great New Year's Eve and a happy 2024.
