This. I'm sure Z3's sheer sound quality will be stunning given what u-he's achieved over the last decade.

From my understanding, yes: VA, Wavetable, FM, Additive, physical modeling, and so-forth :)

Zebra3 isn't changing the formula too much. It's still going to be a wireless semi-modular synth without a shred of sampling in sight. The main difference is unifying all of the separate editors into one so the workflow is even faster and more intuitive. Technology has changed dramatically since 2012, so the sound quality is going to reflect all of u-he's developments over the past decade. There's also going to be little things here and there to make things easier (e.g I believe the filters and XMF filters will be unified).

Beyond that, It's best to wait and see :)
Thank you again! I think I get the picture. 🙂 It truly will be a “Zebra 3”. I had the understanding that it was going to essentially be a whole new synth. 🙂

It doesn't need each and every gimmick on the planet.
!ONLY WITH LOVE!

Check Idiocracy movie. Maybe it'll encourage you on less artless and unpretentious vision.

It's a whole new synth in that it will not be preset backwards compatible. The Osc's are fundamentally different.

I'm sure vendors and journalists alike are just now getting all set up today. Here's an early prototype from last year's Superbooth just to refresh your memory on some of the basic functions of the new spline editor. I'm sure some things have changed since 8 months ago. The UI has obviously come a long way since then.

Congrats on harvesting some of your work! One thing that might help a lot of customers,
is a text file helping find the lines in a skin that define the color of both some text, and it's background panel. Is it possible to locate such things in roughly the same area of all in-house skins text? like
'font-sizes' will be about 40 % down the list
'font colors' will be about 60% down the list
'main panel color' will be about 5% down the list etc etc

With Synth 1. it is useful/fun to change colors of the main panel and text.
I managed to get larger text in Hive presets, after remembering that text editors had search
functions that were much better than my own. :dog:
Cheers

So, just quickly, I think Sonicstate might be stopping by later and I will put the focus less on the editor- which was covered in last years Superbooth technical preview. I’ll focus more on OscFX, architecture and Additive Spectrum Distortion.

The GUI design looks a bit like instruments from Image Line.
