Can the plugin also be used as an editor for the sy-tgg (standalone ) ?
That would be a win-win situation , the enter button on my tg77 has seen better days .

Yes you can. Right now it's updating an entire patch with one SysEx command, which is not yet ideal because you cannot update the edit buffer with this. But I'm adding an option to send out individual param changes, which means it would act as a live GUI for the hardware.

Will be a couple of months at least. Everything takes more time than I anticipated.

I absolutely appreciate your attention to detail and methodical approach. Don't care how long it takes. I just hope you have gentleclockdivider on speed dial so that even the buggy behaviors of the OG unit would be reproduced.

Give it the time it needs. We've survived to see Madrona Labs Sumu, this will come to pass, too.

This is looking very nice so far! I have an original Yamaha TG-77, which I truly love. Please let me know if I can help beta test for you. I was a professional hardware synth repair technician for many years, and I used to be the tech-support person at Camel Audio several years ago. (So, I do have technical support and beta testing experience.)

Beautiful work. Also, if you need beta testers, I'm about to buy an SY77, and I worked with Sonic Charge on Synplant 2.

I may have mentioned this* to the Pro Synth Network guys today, who have been excitedly discussing it on tonight's episode (YouTube, about an hour into the stream, after the Montage plugin stuff)...

TL;DW: They all want it, and they want it now.

Dr. Manny Fernandes (from Yamaha) is regularly in the YouTube chat and might be getting in touch (not in a bad way) - he's probably the world's expert on the SY synths, and if he's willing to share some input etc, that's a great thing...
