All sorts of crazy prices now for Airmusic stuff. How do they continue with doing something like selling 3 synths for $9.99?

At these low prices they might be selling some hundred thousand copies if not millions per year which would mean a good profit for any business anyway.

Until recently, Air plugins hadn't been updated in forever, making them unusable for newer MacOS systems, and stuck in VST2. Their customer support was also apparently close to non-existent, and there are a lot of stories of people contacting them to get their iLok activations reset and not getting a response. It seems like they've awoken from their slumber and started updating some of their plugins recently (I think they are currently beta testing), but I think the price reflects the fact that they're not-quite-but-maybe abandoned.

As far as features go they are abandoned. The number one thing people have been asking for going on a decade or more is resizable GUIs since they are stuck at 2005 size (and appearance as well but that's subjective).

These latest "updates" are simply so they can expand the number of people who can buy their feature abandoned plugins by adding support for the latest Mac specs and VST3.

They're simply trying to milk as much money as they can out of these plugins while doing the least amount of work. It's a shame as some of their plugins could compete with modern alternatives if they were refreshed and given some love to their core sound and feature sets. Hybrid 3 and XPand!2 are a couple that come to mind.

I have lost all respect for Air and the people behind the brand and that comes from someone who owns a ton of their plugins.

I found Loom 2 unusable on my Windows PC. Mainly graphics issues- all the modules seemed to be missing elements so couldn't really tell what I was doing. Uninstalled it but the presets sounded nice.

By Air, i also have Hybrid 3, Vacuum 2, whatever their drum synth is called, and The Riser. The latter is the only one I actually use- probably the quickest way to dial in risers and other sweeps. That said, there's hardly an actual need for a synth dedicated to this stuff and now I mainly use Falcons sweep machine.
