I don’t have a windows machine anymore and don’t know where waveshell plugins get stored but have you tried a full plugin rescan in Fl Studio.I’ve had various problems with Fl and waves plugins on my Mac ,usually a reboot of the computer and a full rescan fixes it and get Fl to identify and label the plugins as an effect or synth. A quick scan won’t.
That helped! Thank you very much! :tu:

I actually happen to like this quite a bit. Maybe Waves should do more synths? CR8 is quite great, too.

FM is never going to be as “inviting” as a subtractive synth like Vital, but if you spend a bit of time working with it, you’d be surprised at how warm or sweet you can make it sounds. Forget about the presets and watch a tutorial on how to program it and roll your own. It’s a great FM synth with some really cool features and interface.
Thanks, I believe you, I think it's one of those quirky synths that will not suit many users because they won't like presets, but yet has some potential outside of industrial EDM.

I do like some FM sounds and bought FM8. Hard to patch but ok to tweak.
Flow Motion deserves better presets. If I get through making any decent ones I'll try and share ;) :phones:

Examigan wrote: Sun Jun 23, 2024 12:41 pmI received a few of their plugins a few years ago through deals online for free, but now I can't download them anymore, even with Waves Central. It says something about Renewing Update Plan, but I am not going to pay for what I had originally got for free.

Isn't there a way to just use the older versions?
You can download Waves offline installers anytime. Even back to version 6 from year 2009. :phones:

Thanks! :)

I changed my mind thanks to Zerocrossing.
Even though I did not like a single preset, I did go watch some tutorials, it is indeed a powerful synth.
I managed to knock out some pads and leads that I like. Away from the industrial / aggressive type I found in the presets.
So if you got it for free like me, maybe try programming yourself instead of just browsing presets.

It is missing a good preset management system like the beautiful U-HE plugins :)

The thing is Waves isn't known for synths and I haven't forgotten Element. Version 2 of Element was sonically different from what was initially put out. If this is free, are they working out bugs?

I have had it for several years. No bugs that I know of. I think Element 2 just took advantage of new cpu power and upgraded the sound. Which is better. Element 2 is one the best sounding synths out there. IMHO.

I'm a bit sad I spent like 50 bucks on this a while back now. It's a very fun synth. It does lots of the FM stuff I've always loved my Nord for quite well and many other fun things.
Don't F**K with Mr. Zero.

Element 2 is actually a very nice VA imo. But.. it’s Waves.. the horrible intrusive software system and dire preset management was too much for me.
