Help|Get help|User guide PDF should, upon not finding the user guide PDF, tell us where to put the user guide PDF such that Help|Get help|User guide PDF would be able to invoke it in some way in the future.

I'd like to have the Count In to Record not Pre-Roll. In other words say I want to record a take starting at Bar 8. I want there to be a 2 Bar count in click so I can get the grove but I don't want the audio from Bars 6 and 7 to play during the count in as it can often be distracting. I just want to hear the click track.
Also Count In to Playback would be nice while practicing parts before committing to recording.

My biggest gripe is the documentation. A new document should be added to the web site EVERY time a new feature or tool is added to the program. I'm not sure if Bill Edstrom is still editing the manual, but admittedly, he says in the Waveform 12 document that these features are not documented:
Traditional Mixer Layout
Advanced MIDI Editor Functions
Plugin Racks
Faceplates
Using multiple-output Synth Plugins
Control Surface Mapping
Waveform Sampler
Video integration
Melodyne Integration
Project Templates
Waveform Archive format
CPU Usage Meter
Virtual Instruments: 4OSC, Subtractive, Collective DAW Essentials Plugins
MIDI FX: Note repeat, Arpeggiator, MIDI Filter (Pro) Chord Track (Pro) Enhanced range tools
They're still not in the version 13 manual!!! The Version 13 manual isn't even clickable like the previous version.
Take a look at Presonus StudioOne manual and make it like that. Hire a couple of people to do this.
It makes the product seem unfinished.

Any chance native ARM support is possible for Windows and Linux since this is likely to become a popular platform with the new Snapdragon chips? Thanks.

Please make the MIDI input on Racks customizable. Even if you have a Rack on multiple channels the MIDI input is just one big MIDI input coming from everywhere.
Surely there must be consensus by now...

some of this is probably not for a .5 update, but:
- better exporting: Currently, when rendering single clips the rendered file takes the name of the clip as expected (e.g. ClipName.mid). However, when rendering clips from multiple tracks (track 1 has "clip1" on it, track 2 has "clip 2") to separate files, they unexpectedly take the name of the first selected clip (clip1 track 1.mid, clip 1 track 2.mid, clip1 track 3.mid). Each render should keep its clip name, and there should be an option to "Render Each Clip to a Separate File," not just "each track to a separate file"
- paste a send module to multiple tracks at the same time
- corrected wet/dry slider PDC
- options to "remove input _ from all tracks" and "remove all inputs from all tracks" in right click menu in the input area
- automation clips
- ability to invert an automation curve/pattern
- modifiers can write to automation tracks. example use case: using the envelope follower with negative depth to write its output to a volume fader automation track, then copy and paste that curve to the clip gain envelope (and reset the fader)
- update the breakpoint modifier to an MSEG type
- see the zero line in clips, so you can manually split clips at a zero crossing if desired while sampling or editing
- CLAP support
- DAWProject support
- oversampling

Ajawasthi,
You can send to multiple tracks now.
Put the "AUX SEND" plugin in track 1...
Put the "AUX RETURN" plugin in track 2, track 3, and so on. Ensure they're mapped to the same send number and off you go.

Thanks, but thats not what i meant. Lets say i have Aux Return 1 and a Reverb on Track 1. I'd like to place Aux Send 1 on Tracks 2-8 at the same time rather than individually copy pasting the Aux Send module to each track. Or, same idea but with a step between: place Aux Send 1 on track 2, then copy and paste it to tracks 3-8 at the same time. Any way to do that?Watchful wrote: Mon Jul 29, 2024 7:45 pm You can send to multiple tracks now.

You could put those tracks in a submix, then put the aux send on the submix.
This is a way to create a master FX track, for example, but obviously has other uses, like putting an effect on a backup group's vocals. You can then adjust output levels of the submix and the return track to taste.
For newer users of Waveform, you create a submix by shift-clicking the desired tracks, right clicking, and selecting "place all selected tracks in a submix." Unlike hardware mixers, there's no limit on how many you can create.

right but if you don't want them foldered, or if you want Aux Send 1 on tracks already existing in different folders/submixes, it doesn't work out in a fast/clean way. Being able to paste a plugin module to several selected tracks would work not just for sends but for plugins that are designed to work across several tracks like satin/claro/neutron as well.

Don't mistake folders for submixes. They operate quite differently. I like submixes because they reproduce classic studio setups, but way more flexibly.
I see what you're saying about tracks already in submixes, though.

1. A way to macro “normalize”
2. VCA and/or Mixbus folder or bus functionality.
3. A way to input/output multiple midi channels from a single track.
4. Better mastering and metering for loudness in LUFS/LU.

I would like to request an option to disable the roll-over help that appears in the right upper corner when hovering over elements. It always distracts me from focussing my view. For me this would be a great help!
