I have waited a few days and I have not received an answer here from the company (it seems that they respond to what interests them and nothing else). Instead, I have tried to obtain information by other means and I want to share my experience and opinion.

The first thing that catches my attention about this company is that it has deliberately removed the Demo version of V2. This already makes me suspicious. It is not mandatory either but it would avoid many problems on the part of customers.

Second, they do not expose the return policy anywhere on the website. After several emails I already know that there is a 14-day margin to return the product according to German laws.

In these emails I was practically called stupid urging me to use Google to know these laws. I think this information should be on the web and not have to search on my own. In my opinion, it gives the feeling that they are trying to hide information. This doesn't give me any confidence. So I won't buy the V2 and I'll sell the V1 with its expansions.

I hope this helps someone decide in their case.

I like the plugin a lot but it's a shame that the people who make it are not as good as the product.

There never was an Avenger 2 demo.

And Manuel did announce there wouldn't be one, months before Avenger V2 was released.
I don't get the sense that they offer refunds, which is probably why they didn't respond to your email, which they really should respond to it/them. imho.

Since I'm around here, I wanted to ask if there is any refund period if I buy the update and then it goes as bad as the V1?
Ok my avenger V1 ran for months with an m1/8gb/256gb and I hadn't any single issue.

Which preset are you using that would kill the m1 ?

sadly there seem to be no way to do so. There is a simliar question in the Avenger Facebook group and Manuel wrote that they are not able to draw outside the Avenger window.
If melda can create lots of useless pop-ups, Avenger could create at least 1 for the mod matrix :D On the other hand, let's better not introduce even more bugs.
What you mean by even more bugs ?

Avenger is very stable...

There was a Demo version of the V1 and in the V2 it disappeared. Why?

Same configuration as you, both on a Mac mini and a MacBook Pro. I'm not using complex presets. I don't use sequences or arpeggios, or presets of a 1-key song.

I wanted to comment that the cuts and jumps in the audio occur without using 30/40% of CPU and it doesn't matter what buffer I use.

That's odd because I did have the CPU peaks. But... Even when peaking to 100% (for benchmark purpose) I wasn't having cuts (except of course if I really push it). Could it he something else?
I am on Bitwig.

I have a project that I'm testing in all the DAWs I have. Studio One 6, FL Studio 24, Bitwig, Cubase and Logic Pro.

So far I have tried in Studio One and Logic. It seems that it's going a little better in logic. But I have to keep trying.

as stated already in our Avenger FB group, the removal of the demo with V2 release had several reasons, but surely not "hiding" anything. We are very proud of 2.0. (and even more with the upcoming 2.5)

- no more copy protection since 2.0 with dongle based Codemeter. So the demo makes it vulnerable to crack
- much bigger library with 2.0, resulting in high traffic costs (we dont want to offer a "stripped down demo version" since people mistaken this with the factory preset you will get in the full version)
- too much support request for the demo, install issues etc - we are a very small company, 2 main persons and 1 support employee

we know that there will be some people who want a demo (like you) and refuse buying without. But this is inside the calculation.

I think it is fine for most of us, the only sad thing is that many people may not realise how avenger 2 is a big step up compared to v1. V1 was already a strong synth but v2 is on another level.

Is it just me, or does anyone else feel the sudden urge to grab a bucket?
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the "serious" musicians on KVR were expected not to like that. Nevermind  But in Germany / Europe there is a gigantic industry about the Mallorca and Apres Ski party economy. We already released "Euro Party 1 & 2" as expansions several years ago, but this is more on spot to modern party music.
