I've just released a new free plugin: Dirty ePiano!

Dirty ePiano is a lightweight electric piano with a lofi touch. I created it to easily replicate 1970s-style jingles and 80s brand logo indent easily sounds from the VHS era.

As usual, it's available as a VST/VST3/AU plugin for Windows and macOS: https://www.samplescience.info/2024/10/ ... piano.html

By the way, if you encounter any problems with my plugins please let me know. I'm working hard to making them as bug free as possible, but at the end of the day, I'm only human and I make mistakes.

Also, if you'd like an affordable multi-velocities version of Dirty ePiano, let me know by filling this survey: https://forms.gle/DDsiQeMqHpfADEDB6

I truly hope you enjoy these freebies!

My latest free plugin is a collection of 12 field recordings with specific frequencies boosted to make them tonal.

It's a kind of experimental atmospheric pad collection.

As usual, it's available on my website: https://www.samplescience.info/2024/11/ ... capes.html

Thank you for these, as always!

Hi SampleScience.

Is your handpan a physical model or is it a sample of a physical model. Likewise with your other plugs. Which are which?

I am interested in physical models and modelers, rather than samples and sample players/romplers.

? "based on a physical model" seems pretty clear to me.

Who's asking the question? You or I? Are you in my head? If you are, then I guess if it's clear to you, then it must be clear to me.

:hihi:

Well, yes and no, recently, Gumroad decided to remove support for PayPal payments and donations. A substantial part of my income comes from donations for all the freebies I release. Since PayPal's removal from Gumroad, my income has dropped substantially.

Sometimes, some of these free plugins will make more money in donations than commercial ones (Room Piano v3, for instance).

With the removal of PayPal from Gumroad, I had to move everything to Payhip in order to be able to accept PayPal payments and donations. The process is so long that I haven't finished yet, because I also had to update all my 90+ plugin catalog to fix some bugs in Ableton Live.

Despite all of this, I hope to be able to release as many free plugins as commercial ones. That's the goal, and thanks to some generous donors, it will hopefully be possible.

All my plugins are romplers, with the exception of UltraBasic and my upcoming 80s ROM+, which are wavetable synthesizers.

You don't need to tell me that if you're in my head. BTW, thanks for asking another question for me.

So it's not even samples of real instruments, then, but sample-playback of models of a real instruments? If so, what's the advantage if any? If so, where & how are you getting your models? Why not directly sample a real instrument rather than the model of one?

Also, why is your wavetable synth called ROM+ and might it somehow differ from other wavetable synths out there?

Asking for mixyguy2 (of course).

You're so welcome. But you knew that already.

PS watch out for those VIs that are a sample of a physical model. lol
