Well mixed, and great sound palette. There's a lot going on, so it kept my interest.

"Ground but mystery bound" is probably my favourite track here, for the soundset specifically, but the arrangement is super clean and detailed.

As "Anchored in work" started I was thinking that you were going to go "full ambient" on me, but it moved in another direction, giving me lots of SciFi vibes.

"Split by attention" is interesting in the way it reminds me of a '70s ProgRock/Jazz fusion album - "True Stories" by David Sancious & Tone, particularly the lead synth sound, playing those seven-note arpeggios between 0:26-0:51, which I thought was reminiscent of a Polymoog.

Good work :)
Thanks so much seismic1! I do really appreciate your listening and comments.

Ground but mystery bound was my favorite on the album as well…I must have remixed the dense orchestral section 7 times, I didn't know if I was ever fully satisfied with it—but I just had to finally say done is done. I'm really glad you like this one.

Split by attention, the lead was a serum(correction: Pigments) patch. I put a lot of work into the way it does vibratos, and other little subtle details to give it a lot of small, but what I saw as significant, details in the timbre.

This is the best compliment for me. It's always a goal of mine to be listenable, but not too predictable.

Thanks again. Truly :tu:

Love this. Bass is insane. You need to be doing soundtracks.

''Both key One More''

Production is spot on as always...particularly impressive in this one with all the high-profile upper frequency content at times...not a harsh edge to any of it! :tu:

Wait is that an ostinato pattern I hear throughout most of the piece? :borg: :borg: :borg:

Seriously - a really great soundscape with a well constructed and very effective range of dynamics n textures from 'utterly delicate to boom'!

You'll be surprised (not) to hear that I wanted one more layer - a killer lead melody of some sort when the main section returns...just ignore me...doesn't really need it! :help: :help: :help:

Hey osiris thanks for listening again :tu: The suggestion of doing soundtracks is a comment I've got fairly regularly over the years. Maybe someday? I tend to use modes very often when writing music, and really like music that has a narrative quality however vague…so I get why soundtrack could be a natural fit for me.

I don't know what you're talking about. Nothing to see here. Move along sir. :scared: :help:

I could see that. Were you thinking around 3:04? I definitely will keep your comment mind for future tracks. I'm on a bit of a hiatus now. This album took about 10 months to put together, and I feel kind of tapped out at the moment. I always need to recharge between projects.

I fully empathise! :ud: :ud: :ud:

''Subway to Saturn'' the album took 2 years to complete (other projects did sort of run alongside it at times as well to be fair) and I feel burned out creatively at the moment...just fiddling around with raw ideas and saving them all for later now for a few weeks!

Excellent pieces (I listened to three on Bandcamp in the car) - well crafted, great selection of sounds, and an impeccable mix. Well done!
