Does the keyswitch of the Note FX selector switch the input or the output?

- I set up multiple `stepwise` step sequencers inside of a Note FX Selector.
- set the Solo Active Layer flag of the Note FX Selector to on
- set the Note FX Selector to Mode: Keyswitches
- put another stepwise infront of the Note FX Selector with a step rate of `bar`
- transposed the keyswitching stepwise down by three octaves

play the thing.
-> The selector indicator (round indicator dot on left side) on the Note FX Selector switches correctly, but the sounding sequence does not change.

So, do the keyswitches switch the input only of the Note FX Selector?

Am I overlooking something?

Thanks

This also left me frustrated when I tried the first beta, but I thought it was such an obvious bug that surely they'd notice it themselves and fix it by beta 2. This hasn't happened, so I'm not sure if it's somehow intended behaviour. I've yet to send them an email about it.

In general, the lack of an obvious/recommended sequencing story for Stepwise is a bit baffling to me.

Thanks for your response.

I guess, until now this was sufficient, and it was better to switch the input to preserve computing cycles. For sequencers inside, it makes sense to keep them processing, even if they are the currently used not generator, allows for smoother switching and construction of breaks.

Email-based beta feedback and reporting :help: - nothing more to say ....

so, who sends the email now?
EDIT: as I had the project, I sent them an email with project and link to this thread - not sure if that can be considered reporting though.

Thanks

Just an update: this seems to be fixed now in Beta4!

Thanks for addressing this Bitwig team!
