It's too bad we can't hide the parts we don't want and give room to the parts we do. Even just hiding the lower strip with the keyboard and arp/clip modules.
I actually feel the same. This type of GUI/UX worked well enough when it was just a simple 2 osc wavetable synth, but now it's not working for me. Which is a shame because it's a real powerhouse. But as is, I prefer working with Logic's Alchemy (which is the same type of instrument in capability..even though it's spectral algo is inferior), because it's easier on the eyes and the UX works faster (for me).

Exactly! Too many easy access items on the screen actually reduces the speed of working. I hope they will allow for the bottom portion to be collapsed in a future revision. That would at least free up some room to scale the window larger.

I miss Camel Audio Alchemy on PC. I understand why Ben sold out (money talks) but imo it was such a huge slap in the face to the community. Alas at least it lives on in the Mac world..

... That's just how normal people over 40 look like.
4 years of seemingly non-stop development work probably didn't help though.. :hihi:

I agree about the UI. Too many options on screen at once makes everything smaller, and less focused. Harder to navigate, slower to create presets

Another reason why I love Omnisphere... click on a section and it enlarges and you can concentrate on that aspect without eye strain.

Serum 2 is now better than pigments!

I can see that. But, to me, it just annoyed me so much as the design was less about focus and more about screen space utilization because it's from so long ago. The "focus" was a potential side effect. I much prefer Serum2, for example.

Now we need a DAW from team Serum

Serum 1 wavetable engine and filters were already better than Pigments 6.
Serum 2 is much better than Pigments 6, Massive X, Hive 2, Zebra 2, Diva, Dune 3, Phaseplant, and Synthmaster 3.

LOL

Serum doesn't get close to Diva analog emulation because well it is not designed for that.

My old copy of Neon is better than Pigments. :ud:

Pigments is cold and dead inside, made for Deadwave, even darker than Darkwave.
I started on Logic 5 with a PowerBook G4 550Mhz. I now have a MacBook Air M1 and it's ~165x faster! So, why is my music not proportionally better? :(

Serum 2 is designed to do analog synth sounds. You are provided with all the tools, you just need to know how to use them.

Obviously it will not sound analog by default, LOL.
