Most movies featuring caves tend to be horror films (apart from Alien).

Here is something different

Thanks very much for listening and commenting, Matt. Glad you liked it :)

I think the Giedi Prime sequences in Dune:2 were truly spectacular, if a little fanciful.

the opening had me in mind of alien, the nostromo, or red dwarf, a huge hulking space craft, floating in deep space.
great work/mix ad always ;tu:

I've completed 5 more tracks since July 2023, and they all seem to feature a similar gloomy atmosphere to this piece. It's probably a sign of the times.

There's some deep resonance here. The lower frequency range feels like pressure or stress. Maybe an underlying horror aspect. The higher range is machine like. Electronic circuits or unseen machines working. An interesting and engaging piece. Fun to write about.

Very cool. The sequenced sections sound like it's going to turn into something more upbeat...and then right back down into the depths we go :-o

I decided to raid the Rapture presets (I probably haven't used it for over 10 years, and was quite surprised to discover so much depth and potential there). These sounds formed the basis for this piece.

The murky dissonance of the lower frequencies vs. the chaotic chatter of the more obviously sequenced parts were my take on the current state of of TV advertising in the UK, and I suspect, elsewhere too. Two years on, I think I prefer the SciFi associations.

I think you are right unfortunately! I have just uploaded a silly track which is a polar opposite of my last one! ;) Hopefully people will join in on the craze.

Totally getting a deep space vibe here. Like you're out in deep space, you've been out there speeding along for weeks. But then there's the little arp invasion every now and then. Really creative piece.

I'm such a tease

Your comment regarding depths just made me realise that Polarised is dangerously close to an anagram of despair. Quite appropriate, given the pitiful state of modern TV advertising (which supplied the inspiration for this music).
