The iOS development is paused currently, since we need to concentrate on the desktop first. Once we release SynthMaster 3.4 followed by SynthMaster 3 Player, I will go back to iOS development. I hope we can release SynthMaster 3 Player iOS in December, followed by SynthMaster 3 iOS in March.

No worries. I trust that you know what is best. I will continue to try to be patient for a native Linux version. :)

Control Mode: yes. I never use that mode so I must have been trying to reset the GUI. So, just a summary: 1. the SM One and SM3 installs went great (no macOS AAX in the installer but i understand that's still on the way). 2. SM One also had a few problematic Public Library presets that didn't come down. (I personally don't mind these missing assets but others might find it too unprofessional or scary.) 505/507 or whatever it was. 3. Running SM3 in Nuendo 12 (Rosetta) in 96k 24b, and various buffer settings, I had quite a few ticks, pops, crackles. 4. the "polyphony voices still aren't being reset" (whatever the technical reality is here) between patch changes and so on longer release sounds it can take a while to "clear the tails" resulting in pops and unexpected behaviour - this goes back years and should probably be cleaned up. Again, not to scare people off. (I'm used to it and don't mind dealing.) 5. Might be a 96k 24b thing, might be a SM2 within SM3 thing, but I'm still getting "patches start fine, but then nosedive into a fast-ms loop until being sucked out into an LPF safety condition" (my best description). Happens quite often, I wonder if it's lower SR sample rendering in 96/24 and choking against buffer). And then a BIG FAT #6: I've just merged two older systems' FavouritePresets.txt into a third for both SM2 and SM One, and IT WENT VERY SMOOTHLY. And then SM3 causally collecting that into a master SM3 favourites list, re-alphabetized and sync'd with the cloud WENT VERY SMOOTHLY. Compare this to the lumbering dinosaur of Avid - very impressive. (7. I was surprised to find myself missing the filter by Author in SM3.) 8. I was going to ask for the RANDOM button to be moved onto the GUI in SM3 - huzzah! There is is! OVERALL GREAT WORK GUYS ... so glad to be up and running again with everything in sync!

Cool! I just wanted to give you a heads up. I'm sure there was no risk to customers.

This is why I like Bitdefender Total Security, it provides aggressive and comprehensive protection.

I wanted to go a bit deeper on the sample side of SM 3, didn't have time so far, Mac Sonoma + Logic 11.1.2, I have been crashing 5x in the last 30min, just by moving the slices, editing regions, changing length, etc...nothing special that I can repeat, just playing with the different sample parameters ! Now I understand the complaints, at this stage V3 seems very unstable and buggy, using presets seems ok, but editing is very dangerous...

No it's not. I shot many tutorial videos doing all sorts of waveform/wavetable/multisample editing.

Unless I know the exact scenario, it's difficult for me to resolve issues by trying to reproduce them randomly.

Could you at send me the crash logs located at: /Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports?

I have a great respect for your work and I have been using SM since v1, using mainly presets so far and adjusting eventually filters ir simple stuff, after my post few hours ago I have experienced even more crashes, I am just loading samples and tweaking parameters, I will try to send you a log of what I have been doing, but my configuration has nothing special, and I face extreme instability though, and this is not normal at all...

Maybe it's the samples you are using that's causing the issue. You can email me the crash file(s) at:

sm3 logs are located at: /users/shared/synthmaster3/logs

Hi - I just started using SM3 AU version in Logic Pro X. The sequencer seems to be broken in some ways. It works, but it does not respond properly to the mouse. When trying to scroll between steps 1- 8 to 9 - 16, it changes the number of the step, sometimes doubling numbers, sometimes just saying "1" on several steps. Other mouse actions (I.e. holding down shift for some actions) don't seem to work at all. Otherwise the synth is very stable and sounds great. Thanks.

Hi guys,

Time for another major update for SynthMaster 3: version 3.4.1 is out new with the following new features:

SynthMaster 3.4-New Presets.png

1. New layout for the Preset Browser
2 .New layout for the In-App-Shop
3. New factory presets by Francis Prève , Howard Smith and Gerçek Dorman
4. Import/Export User Bank functionality
5. When expansion bank downloads are completed, SynthMaster 3 now displays a task dialog while registering expansion banks.
6. When users run SynthMaster 3 for the first time, License Key File Dialog is now shown after the user interface is opened.

There are also critical bug fixes in this update:

1. Preset browser doesn't list results correctly when text is entered in preset name textbox
2. Multiline text is not rendered correctly on MacOS
3. MacOS installer is missing AAX option
4. AAX version is not reporting automateable parameters to ProTools

Enjoy!

Thanks for this update Bulent! I really like the new browser. A couple of issues, one related to SM3 itself and one related to the sound designers.

In the image below you'll notice that the presets at the bottom of the list are cut off (#22,44,66). I don't see the same thing happening in your screenshot above, everything is lined up. This is on Windows with the 120% skin.

The other issue related to the tagging used by sound designers is you'll notice I have chosen to search "Synth Lead-Classic Mono" in the Instrument Types Column. However a lot of other patches show up like ARP, BAS, BRS, CHD, DRM, etc. It's because the sound designers are adding attributes to their patches that don't really match the type of sound chosen under Instrument Types.

Sure you could say an ARP could be used as a lead or a BAS or CHD but at that point any patch could be used for any type of sound. A DRM sound for a BAS, etc so it kind of makes the attribute system less effective if every type of patch shows up when one is searching for a specific type.

As an example, click on #17 DRM Night Club (C3). There are 12 Attributes chosen under Preset Details, one of which is "Monophonic" which is why it shows in the list when searching for Mono Synth Leads. Same with #16 "CHD Major Seven" it has Synth Lead/Classic Mono listed in the Instruments Types and I'm not sure how many people would be looking for a Major 7th chord when searching for a Mono Lead and so on.

It's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things but again I think it makes the search function less effective when patches of all types show up when searching for a specific type.
