A lot of us from those days when Anthology was free are still scratching our heads about this. Roland offered quite a few vintage synths in the Anthology format and promoted widely that all the plug ins were free. Then suddenly, all gone. wtf. From what I hear, you can still find those synths (which were excellent btw especially the 990 which is far better than current offering) if you look hard enough.braincandy wrote: Tue Aug 12, 2025 10:32 pmWhy would they do this?Examigan wrote: Tue Aug 12, 2025 9:52 pmThe Anthology 1990 was a sampled version of the D-70, but it isn’t available ianymore. Roland Cloud

Thank you for the suggestions, Jon. While I appreciate the Play 4 Life idea, I am not too keen about it and would rather prefer buying lifetime key licenses of the instruments I want. The Roland catalog is pretty extensive and it can get tempting, but I plan to get started with one or two instruments for now (likely XV-5080). I hope you plan to have more sales/better deals on lifetime keys in the future.Jon at Roland wrote: Tue Aug 12, 2025 4:43 pmWe do frequently run promotions and discounts, Enigma. Recently, we ran a buy one get one deals, and currently are running a discounted price on the TR-808.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Sun Aug 10, 2025 7:25 am Not interested in Roland Cloud, but I may be interested in a lifetime key of one of these, but hopefully during good sale deals. Do the lifetime key versions go on sale occasionally? When would be the best time to buy based on past sales?

One good way to get some free instruments is to sign up for Play 4 Life. We usually run this promotion early in summer and in the middle of fall. You sign up for an annual membership of Ultimate for one year, and you are able to collect two Lifetime Keys. That would be the biggest upcoming promotion that could get you a deal on the D-50 and JV-1080.

Interesting to know, thank you. I wish it was still available. In terms of D series, I guess D-50 would be the only option in this regard, as it is the same type of synth (LA).Examigan wrote: Tue Aug 12, 2025 9:52 pmThe Anthology 1990 was a sampled version of the D-70, but it isn’t available anymore. The reason to discontinue Concerto and the Anthology series was to replace them with ZENOLOGY and the expanding Roland Cloud library. Some of these can be found in ZENOLOGY, Model Expansions, and other Roland Cloud instruments; others have emulations with tons more patches and sound packs than offered in Concerto.
Of course Enigma! I get it. I hope we continue to release new discounts and promotions like we have been recently.LoveEnigma18 wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2025 7:26 am Thank you for the suggestions, Jon. lolol appreciate it, DOL! This is the truth though. Even though we recently shifted focus to work on a few other projects, we still have tons of ACB instruments and ACB integration planned. When they will be released is a different story.DashOfLime wrote: Tue Aug 12, 2025 9:58 pm Jon you know I love ya but you've been saying the same thing forever![]()

Since you already have the samples you should make them available inside of Zenology especially for the instruments that don't have official pluginsJon at Roland wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2025 9:20 pm The reason to discontinue Concerto and the Anthology series was to replace them with ZENOLOGY and the expanding Roland Cloud library. Are the D-70 sounds in Zenology?Jon at Roland wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2025 9:20 pmThe reason to discontinue Concerto and the Anthology series was to replace them with ZENOLOGY and the expanding Roland Cloud library. I’m glad I downloaded Concerto and all the Anthology files before they were taken down.

yeah me too. i don't i'll ever understand giving something away for free with a huge promotion and then taking it back like a little kid reclaiming a toy they gave away.Examigan wrote: Fri Aug 15, 2025 9:53 amAre the D-70 sounds in Zenology?Jon at Roland wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2025 9:20 pmThe reason to discontinue Concerto and the Anthology series was to replace them with ZENOLOGY and the expanding Roland Cloud library. Well that's encouraging to hear. Really hoping something sooner rather than later. Let the powers that be know we've had enough Zenlove for a bit and maybe it's time to get some of those ACB projects out.Jon at Roland wrote: Thu Aug 14, 2025 9:20 pmlolol appreciate it, DOL! Now that I think about it, I remember what went down with the whole Anthology thing. Many of us downloaded it when it was free and the main gripe was not that it was discontinued but that those of us who downloaded it when it was free would try and pull it up in a DAW and we got an error message, it stopped working completely even though we got it when they promoted it as free.

It works now though. There’s no authorization needed.N 4 LIFE wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 2:25 am Now that I think about it, I remember what went down with the whole Anthology thing. Is there a way to fix the constant Zoom issues on windows 11. Any plugin I load in DAWs, I get a huge UI, like 240% vs 100%
is there anyway to stop this ridiculous UI zoom behavior ? I'm on the latest cloud ,ultimate sub. Latest Windows update.. but it's been doing this forever, so I don't think it's related to a windows update. Anyone know of a fix ?

Not that it's any comfort but I'm on Windows 11 and I'm not having that issue in Bitwig 5 or Cubase 14. I had to resize the GUIs when I changed to a 4k monitor a couple of weeks back but it seems they only needed to be re-sized once, now if I add an instance of a cloud plugin it is the correct size. Plugins are Juno 106, Jupiter 8, Jupiter 4 and Zenology Pro. Which plugins are you having issues with, they may have been programmed differently.trusampler wrote: Fri Aug 29, 2025 4:08 pm Is there a way to fix the constant Zoom issues on windows 11. In Ableton I get a consistent 74% for newer UI (v2 plug-ins, RE-201, Earth Piano) and around 114%-124% on older UI.

The Boss Effects Pedals 1.1.0 update is nice. New BF-2(!) and CE-2, among a bunch more.
I would definitely buy it if I could. But I'm not going to rent a Roland Cloud subscription. There is just not enough stability in a subscription model for me to ever ever use rented plugins in any production of mine. Period.
But as soon as Roland lets me BUY the Boss Effects Pedals plugin, I am there!
