social media is full of tools that distract us from a given task.

Just about everything.

You can:
- Manually control the delay time of each tap.
- Manually control the level of each tap.
- Manually control the pan of each tap.
- Manually assign the amount of one or both of the two (partially pretty wicked) effects to each tap separately.
- Draw time, level, pan and effect curves.

Just these make up for some incredibly stunning options.

Listen to this (2 dry bars of a drum beat, then with Relayer):

No way to get even in the ballpark of that with any typical multitap delay.
There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Spectrasonics Distorted Reality immediately comes to mind.

I see that UVI uses iLok, but do they also require a UVI account? I'd prefer to just get the iLok code from PB and bypass the other extra stuff

they have a Portal (software manager) for installation which needs an account, i'm not aware of any other way of getting the software

FYI, you don't have to use Portal. You can still download from https://www.uvi.net/my-products

But to answer Kevin's question, yes, you need an account to register the key/serial.

Definitely some interesting stuff in there. I was expecting it to be a subtle difference but these sounds are something else entirely, in a good way.

I personally didn't hear anything I'd want to use as a starting point in any of the audio examples... are there very different samples in the full pack / instrument?

The audio examples seem aimed at a particular sonic palette that I personally don't love, though I can appreciate it. It also doesn't seem particularly innovative in terms of sound, though I guess the modding of the drum machine is a bit of an interesting twist.
