I still keep grabbing these free drum samples. It's completely pointless. I must have around 5-10k of kickdrum samples alone, add to this anything that is embedded as containers in various libraries. And at least the same amount again, hidden in zip files and backups.
If you can't find a great kick (of whatever taste) within all these samples), you possibly never will. Just as me.

Yes, fair points. I already have the best 909 samples, my enthusiasm for these is because of how different they are, not necessarily for their usefulness.Ou_Tis wrote: Wed Sep 10, 2025 12:18 pm I personally didn't hear anything I'd want to use as a starting point in any of the audio examples... are there very different samples in the full pack / instrument?
The audio examples seem aimed at a particular sonic palette that I personally don't love, though I can appreciate it. It also doesn't seem particularly innovative in terms of sound, though I guess the modding of the drum machine is a bit of an interesting twist.

Grab something like Atlas. I got a LOT more traction from my sample libraries having this to work with.Sascha Franck wrote: Wed Sep 10, 2025 1:18 pm I still keep grabbing these free drum samples. Thought about it, but for my needs the free ADSR Sample Manager is just fine. Plus, I also have XLN Audio's XO. Which, btw, while the cloud browser is nice, completely sucks. And they seem to have zero plans to change anything.t.o.t.s. wrote: Wed Sep 10, 2025 3:45 pm Grab something like Atlas. I got a LOT more traction from my sample libraries having this to work with.
In the end, I just don't need these amounts of samples, simply because each and every decent sampler I slap them in offers a plethora of modification options.

I don't suppose there's yet a simple way to have AI write a DAW-specific program to render out all the drum samples and loops from a given Beatmaker for use as .wav or midi? Or have an AI agent do it.... Could just go with the effects settings from the presets, or turn the effects to their minimal level.seangm wrote: Wed Sep 10, 2025 8:17 pmYeah it is BM3, I'm probably the one that threw everyone off. I really don't like the new BM3 it's a flaming pile of sh*t IMHO and I posted about it in another thread earlier today but called it Beatmaker 2 so my bad. I gave up on buying any new BM releases because they only work with that POS BM3 wrapper. Ok done ranting, blood pressure dropping now.telecharge wrote: Wed Sep 10, 2025 7:52 pmIsn't it 2 to 3 now? viewtopic.php?t=621352Uncle E wrote: Wed Sep 10, 2025 7:08 pm UJAM Beatmaker GLOOM introductory sale, starting at $29, and all other Beatmakers are on sale for $25.

What exactly do they mean by a "true analog reverb unit"? Emulation of digital hardware with analog components? Physical mechanism like spring / plate? Or analog circuitry as in bucket bridge delay chips? Perhaps the translation is somehow an issue there, though automated translation seems to have gotten very good in general...

Hmmm....kind of giving off a Flowstone-ish vibe. I don't see any mention of Mac support (not that I care) but maybe I just missed it.npdc wrote: Thu Sep 11, 2025 2:19 pm A FREE plugin bundle by a Korean developer
