“Around The Corner” started from a Zendrum solo, played in real time using the BFD Virtually Erskine Sample Library with no click. Next, I played my new Bass Harpejji MSF Half Fretless tapping bass instrument followed by a real trumpet part. For some texture and contrast, I added a synth part from the Expressive E Osmose but played on LinnStrument. The photo is also original - taken in Berlin, Maryland, USA this past weekend. You never know what you will find around the corner . . .

Yeah, very nice drums. At first, it sounds like a jazz band on stage
trying out the instruments and everyone playing a few chords.
Haha, well done – that illusion is awesome!
Slowly, the unrelated tones form - if you will - a kind of free jazz song.
And yes - especially when you've heard so much "extremely composed
pop music," this kind of free improvisational music is very refreshing
and beautiful. Hence my dictum: Simply brilliant! Well done!

jcub,
Audio quality is very good. Rather trippy, and very jazzy. I think this would be good for background music for a movie, where the scene takes place in a rough part of town, where some of the people are drunk or on drugs. It sounds professional.

Enjoyed it immensely - can't resist a little avant-garde / free jazz!

Thanks for the kind words! The drum kit sound inspired a very loose feel. I tried to have a recurring theme with the trumpet part and kept the bass centered around the root note for the most part.
