Exactly. You can confirm this by loading a tuner plugin after the synth. Start with the init preset and turn calibration amount all the way up so that the effect is more obvious. Destabilize looks like it's equivalent to modulating the pitch with a random glide lfo while uncalibrate is like modulating the pitch with the RAND modulator.

10 years of development, and not,a single nice e-piano nor another accoustic sound in the presets. I define here accoustic as being able to play a sound so expressivly as an accoustic instrument. So, either Z3 is able to deliver that and we have just not found out how to do it or it can't.
I remember the first time I had a DX7. It was still in Japanese. I could not come up with any good sound. Later people found out, how to do it. Maybe that is also the case with Z3.

If you want e-piano (I suppose you mean Fender Rhodes, Wurly, DX7) sounds, there are other plugins that have their focus on e-pianos . But even HZ Zebra 2 has some good ones.

They're trading quality and range of sounds for sub atomic tweaking capabilities.

If you think 16 Oscs with 8 Subs, up to 8 Filters at once, 16 filters in dual mode, up to 16 4 Op FM or Wavetable Oscs and 8 Sample Oscs, is a "simple synth" in comparison to Zebra 3 then I fear you've taken an indefensible and poorly reasoned stance.

I've said it several times before, Zebra 3 is a great synth....in a market full of great synths.

Quality and complexity of sound are what impresses me and so far nothing Zebra 3 has shown me is any different or any better than the other synths in my collection. But it's only in beta so we'll see what the future holds. However I'd hesitate to crown it the god of synths at the point. It's not even in my top 10 at this point, no offensive to the developer or the cult.

In the end "novel and interesting ways of doing stuff" only matters if you end up with novel and interesting sounds hitherto impossible to make.

So instead of writing instructions on how to make a patch why don't you just post the patch?

I'd love to hear waveforms, wavetables, and presets that others have done. I've done a bunch but nothing that's groundbreaking or worthy of sharing but these are early days.
I'm happy to upload a patch too, but since this is a forum where, checks notes, people write stuff to share with others, that's what I did...

I'm not going to engage you on the other points, because I consider you to be one of the professional antagonists in this place and I just want to have a laugh and learn/share more about synths and synthesis, not get drawn into arguments with no positive outcomes for anyone.

I can't even begin to explain how much I resent such comments. There will probably be some e-pianos, but I have not spent 10 years of development to be measured by how many of these sounds we put in a beta release.

I did not want to offense anyone, if it happened, i hope you accept my excuse.

Ok, I guess that's the language barrier... Sorry if I overreacted

In Zebra2 Howard Scarr made some beautiful DX7 style e-pianos (in the factory bank), and 3ee made some impossibly realistic Rhodes/Wurlitzer e-pianos (here). FWIW, there is no doubt in my mind that those sounds can be made with Z3 and probably even better. As the old saying goes: Don't judge a beta by its presets....

In what language wouldn't that have been rude? Ferengi?

Ferenginar experiences near-constant torrential rain; consequently, the Ferengi language has 178 different words for rain (and none for "crisp").

This beta is clearly unfinished. I don’t care how advanced the synthesis is if after 10 years it can’t do ‘EP Warm 03’, what was the point?!
Its over for Bitwig--CUBASE WON !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If your synth can't make the sound of a sock full of custard being thrown into a wind tunnel and hitting a cow then it's dead to me.
