So, if more people ask for Linux support, will you support Linux?ultra_audio wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 8:54 pmYou're the 2nd person today to ask for that. Thanks for your supportwoodsdenis wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 10:20 pm I did buy this primarily because it's a great synth with a huge amount of potential, hope the devs stick to their promise and fully develop this as they have said earlier in the thread. Aiyn Zahev has already done some of the factory sounds, way more from him and others please.Have not come across any major bugs or crashes yet so it seems pretty stable. I find it really easy to dig in make sounds so that is one of my main reason for purchasing.
It took us several years to build this, without a lot of feedback. Now that it's out, (or about to be) things are much more exciting. So I can assure you that we are not going anywhere, and can't wait to get some of the prototype features out and in your hands.

I think we'd respond to peer pressure, yeah! Having said that, I'm not sure what's involved yet.audiojunkie wrote: Thu Jan 01, 2026 11:16 pm So, if more people ask for Linux support, will you support Linux?

I went back to this Ultra demo version to test one more relation.
I'd like to export some wavetables from icarus and load into the ultrawave section to see how it reacts.
I can export wavetable from Icarus, but I'm unable to load it in Ultra to sound good....
What are the steps I should make?

You can import other wavetables, but there's no button to do so - if you drag in a file that is a certain length long in samples (a multiple of 1024) it will ask if you want to import as a wavetable or as audio. In hindsight this is not a great system, it would be better to just have an import wavetable link. I will add this to the development list...dune_rave wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 8:42 am I went back to this Ultra demo version to test one more relation.

I've tried to import as wavetable, and used this 2048 size setting ( Icarus has 2048 frames),
but was not satisfied enough with the results.

I did not go through the entire thread, but are you planning to release the synth for Linux as well?

I migrated my entire studio setup from Windows/macOS to Linux last year. In the process of doing that, I spent a good chunk of money buying plugins from vendors who offer Linux builds. Quite surprising how many good plugins and great vendors there are supporting Linux.
That being said, I would certainly pick up a copy of Ultra if it were available on Linux.
p.s. Check out https://linuxaudio.dev/ for a pretty comprehensive list of a bunch of the vendors supporting Linux.

Not to derail the thread too much, but I do wonder what amount of producers really use Linux. I think KVR may have some vocal members that look for it, but it’s probably a relatively small minority even here and perhaps more so outside of KVR. I wonder if there’s any good polling anywhere

I've been doing a yearly survey to try to keep up on the Linux growth. It's not scientific, but it's about as good as anyone can get. I'm getting ready to start the new one, so we'll soon have an up-to-date survey. But for now, here is last year's survey, which seems to indicate that about 10% of KVR members use Linux:Benjamin923 wrote: Fri Jan 02, 2026 4:58 pm Not to derail the thread too much, but I do wonder what amount of producers really use Linux.
