FWIW Life-time key rewards used to be available to monthly subscribers, and I didn’t know Roland had removed the option.
IIRC, the two permanent licences per year were originally for subscribers who took Cloud up close to the launch. Anyone on that was grandfathered in. But that offer got removed. Then the Play4Life offer was used to drum up annual subs a year or two later, but that was time-limited as well, at least initially.

So I think it's just evolved to the point where the monthly sub is left out in the cold.

Does Play 4 Life let me keep Zenology Pro if I want it?

No. You can pick from Legendary, AIRA, or SRX Lifetime Keys.

Happy New Year, everyone!

Do the Zenology Wave Expansions work with Zenology Lite?

Also, I assume the Zenology/Zen-Core Sound Pack Bundle (SDZ001–150) works with Zenology Lite, right?

I found this on their website:

“ZENOLOGY Sound Packs are compatible with ZENOLOGY software instruments only (ZENOLOGY Pro, ZENOLOGY, and ZENOLOGY Lite). For cross-compatible sounds, check out our large selection of ZEN-CORE Sound Packs and Wave Expansions.”

https://www.rolandcloud.com/news/introd ... ound-packs

I’m not sure about the Wave expansions.

I use some wave expansions (e.g., EXZ006, EXZ007, etc.) and sound packs with Zenology Lite. This works without any problems. After purchase, you can find them in the Cloud Manager under “My Library.”

Thank you for the information. I do have the ZENOLOGY Sound Packs that I use with ZENOLOGY Lite already, but the question was more about Sound Packs (SDZ series) and Wave Expansions. I think the text you posted confirms that indirectly, as SDZ and Wave are also compatible with other Roland/hardware products.

Okay, excellent! Thank you for the confirmation.

EDIT: I also confirm both ZEN-Core Sound Packs and Wave Expansions work with ZENOLOGY Lite. May want to upgrade to ZENOLOGY PRO in the future for a good deal though.

Hi
Wanted to ask about D50 vst (for someone who know hardware variant too) - with init patch (all by default, all parts is square wave) - with each quick pressed note there is audible mismatching in sound due to unsync start phase between part 1 and 2 (not saying that it bad though) just wondering if in HW the same behavior ?

Post

I checked the waveform of an init preset with an analyzer years ago, and noticed it seems the waveform is flipped/inverted with each note played.

I don’t know if the hardware does that.

I wrote to their support and they never answered why it does that, or if it’s normal etc.

Does anyone know a sequencer that can be used with the 101 and receives notes from the keybed? For ableton, know there are some built-in other DAW:s. Can’t believe they droped it or haven’t made one later since sequencers are such a big thing now a days.

Hm ok. (strange, recently had experience with Roland support, seemed to me pretty responsible, but perhaps just accident)

However, during interest by D50 topic i googled couple places with seen fat HW community with thread about D50. Think if reg there and ask, believe there will be no prob for them for check this.

Given that there’s already a 3P, I’d think a JP-8000 would be a higher priority.

That was a joke, as many have been asking for an actual 8P ACB (for the System 8 ) ever since the System 8 came out. It periodically would pop up in this thread, but hasn't for a while so - just keeping it going. :hihi:
