I personally did not see iLok mentioned either. I posted what I did see, and that was that it was software based. *Shrug*
I'm not sure what to think on that--I just know that it is using a software based C/R

(Also: I'm Accused of lying about Linux—it boots, runs my pro audio workflow, stays stable, updates--though yearly dismissed as “niche”. Yet I'm the deluded one.)

If it supports all three OSes, then absolutely!!

Going to the end of the first post you can see the "last edited" time and date. I may miss things or am waiting for more information before adding, so please check and remind/inform me if that's the case. I've had to check a few times where I found out a suggestion had already been added long before that. But it's not a problem for me to check again and/or update a changed link.
Smackbox was added right after the first suggestion of it.

Korneff used iLok originally but then switched to their own c/r system. They gave away their El Juan Limiter plugin for a limited time back in January 2024 to test out the new system.
I assume all their releases since then use it and any mention of iLok on the site is for legacy reasons but again I lose all interest in a dev when c/r pops up.

Check your Debian library versions. Your version may be too old.NWSM wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 11:02 pmi could not install on Debian based Linux:stefancrs wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 8:47 pm Could smackbox ( https://dropshotaudio.com/ ) go into this list?

Thank you so much for testing! Another Debian user reported a similar issue in the smackbox thread (viewtopic.php?p=9168629). I will investigate this for the next release, and please go to that thread if you have any other questions and feedback.NWSM wrote: Tue Jan 13, 2026 11:02 pmi could not install on Debian based Linux:stefancrs wrote: Wed Jan 07, 2026 8:47 pm Could smackbox ( https://dropshotaudio.com/ ) go into this list?
